Not necessarily world class but decent defenders, and most importantly teamwork.
yinkeys:
Super Eagles need world class centre backs, b2b midfielders, creative midfielders to complement the world class forwards, wing backs and goalie we have
No sentiments
We need to win the next Afcon

Drop names of the next Sunday Mba, Taribo West

Dele Bashiru, Joe Aribo are not creative
They’re goal scoring offensive type of midfielders to me
Maybe Dele Bashiru will do well as b2b midfielder

Ndidi, Onyeka play really well as DM
I’ve never really seen them play a fantastic game for the super eagles as b2b midfielders

I still need to watch more games of Onyedikachi & Chrisantus to conclude on my observations

Série A goal scorers

Retegui 16 goals
Thuram 13 goals
Lookman 10 goals
De Ketelaere 5 goals

Atalanta should be praying Napoli and inter drop points so that they can get back in the race
16 games left for Atalanta

If Retegui gets to 20 goals first, he’d win the capo canonnière award

Mujtahida:
Once he dons our jersey, his legs become stiff
He's just not imposing enough.

He has very good movrment up front. He gets in good position, it comes to finishing he falters.

I don't know what would make him find his groove.

Open screening for our under 17 team was the norm between 2012 and 2015. It was Pinnick that stopped it. I suspect his deputy Akinwumi was given the under 17 team as his share of the national cake.

I mentioned earlier that in Nigeria, whatever worked was eventually jettisoned because the ultimate aim is that nothing works. Good news to the colonial masters, isn’t it?
So the plan perfectly works that the talents are exported in raw form just like the crude oil.

It is actually we on this platform that are really concerned about the progress (or lack of it) of the Super Eagles. The principalities at the NFF care less.
The only reason why they work round the clock each time to ensure World Cup qualification is because of the FIFA $9m largesse.

Regarding the lack of goals, I would attribute that to lack of cohesion and lack of teamwork. It is not about Boniface or Dessers or Awoniyi. Each of these dudes would bang in goals playing for Morocco or Benin or Iceland.

We are the only country in the world arguably where our national teams approach football as if it is an individual sport. One would wonder what they do in training.
No plans for corner kicks or throw-ins or free kicks.

True, but if the great Ronaldo could be labelled Penaldo how much more Osimhen. Truth is, the last couple of goals have only been coming from penalties. Would be great if they come from open play too.

TheGoodJoe:
More than 4000 talented players from all over the country thronged the pitch of the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja, Nigeria’s political capital, looking for a chance to make it into the team.

Amuneke found a way to see many of them play. He would group the boys into teams with a 30-minute time limit.

https://soccernet.ng/2023/02/the-15-minutes-that-handed-victor-osimhen-a-life-changing-opportunity.html

Are you saying the over 4000 players were recommended?

I repeat, if we don't go back to open screening for U17, and even improve on it and make it even more thorough, with more time and even more zones. Until then, people should not worry themselves with our U17 programs.

Finito.
he didn’t screen the 4000 sha, in fact I’m sure he didn’t screen up to 400
