1. Can you point to the modern people of Canaan.
2. There is no land today that is occupied by its original Aborigines. So you have no foot to stand on if you go the Canaanites way.
3. We can only deal with what history puts in front of us. No one can trace or give an intelligent account of the Canaanites. Were they one nation or many nations? Who are their modern descendants? Or can you give an accurate geography of their land?
4. The Jews on the other hand have clear history on their hands.
5. So even if you find a Canaanites willing to retake the land, he doesn't have enough geographic or historic evidence to win in any court of law. In fact we know more about the Canaanites from reading the bible that from pure history.
