Dangote is about 650000Bdp, and Crude supply from Nnpc to dangote is around 300k meaning Dangote as to import to assume his capacity
With the arrangement on ground, Dangote pricing is highly influenced/controlled by forex and int'L market price.

what the importers/marketers do to beat Dangote is go outside source for lower quality bring it into the country as cheap to naive Nigerians, standard regulation is dead so marketers just take advantage

what the marketers are doing now is not different from what out Igbo brothers going to china do, they import lower quality of lg, samsung and popular products making them sell at lesser price compared to the ones you find in fouani or cash n carry stores ... thats what Nigerians consider "Cheap" they fill fouani want to scam me but until you test the both product side by side

when there was no refinery only Nnpc can import into the country, but with the upstream of local refineries marketers are fortified to import ... is that not counterproductive

I'm looking forward to the day that Nigeria does not have to depend on oil any more. What was clearly meant to be a source of collective blessing is being manipulated and cornered by a few for selfish interests. May it never be well with them!

Most imported fuel comes from substandard refineries overseas. Dangote refinery operates at a very high standard.

The quality of fuel from Dangote refinery is way better than the cheap imported fuel the marketers bring in. That’s why it’s more expensive.

The same fuel Dangote refinery produces is on par with European standards.
