Husband’s Cheating Infects Wife and Son with HIV


A Nigerian woman recently shared a deeply emotional account of her marriage struggles on TikTok under the handle @_yoursafespace_e. Speaking anonymously, she narrated how her husband’s infidelity not only shattered her trust but also left devastating consequences for her family.

The woman revealed that her unfaithful husband infected her and their six-year-old son, Derrick, with HIV, a revelation that has left her life and marriage in ruins.

She disclosed that her husband had a long history of infidelity spanning their 10-year marriage. Despite countless betrayals, she remained in the relationship for the sake of their children, hoping her sacrifices would preserve their family.

The heartbreaking turning point occurred when her husband returned home and handed her an envelope containing his HIV-positive test results. Subsequent tests showed that their son Derrick was also infected, likely due to shared clippers used during haircuts. Fortunately, their other son, Junior, tested negative.

There should be stiff laws to punish married persons who infect his/her partner with HIV.

To do that you would first need to prove that the other was not first aware of the danger before getting infected too. I mean her story is that she had known of his cheating right from the beginning yet continued anyway. And even after realizing the devastation, she holds on. At this point, if she gets pregnant again and has another child, do we blame the man alone still?

No woman would know that her husband has HIV, yet still plays carelessly around him because everyone knows that HIV has no cure.

I don't know if you can get HIV from clippers (it's possible sha).

But I do -know that almost 20-30 years ago, when HIV awareness was just spreading in Nigeria, my sibling was one of 2w w Dr's that was part of the newly formed HIV 22 unit at LUTH.

And it was filled with widows and some infected children.

But mostly widows of unfaithful men. Their husbands had either developed full-blown AIDs or had passed away.

I will never understand Infidelity. It is stupid and pointless, expensive and frankly not worth it (Nigerians, male and female, are all bad at sexx. Y'all lack the freedom and creativity. Even other Africans are better than us. Y'all don't even have sexx appeal).

This is height of irresponsibility from that man.

Leave the God mention out of this. These are human-created problems for which humans are to blame. The woman is not a victim as she knowingly chose to have unprotected sex with her husband, aware he was cheating on her and then passed the disease to her child. She is to blame for refusing to protect her child from her husband's adultery.
