With the way things are going now I'm not even sure Chelsea can win the conference league. It would be a miracle if they finish in the top4, honestly I don't see that happening. Maresca doesn't know what he's doing, Sanchez and Jackson are agents sent to destroy him but he's yet to realize that fact.

I believe Peter Obi has a greater potential than what he displayed in Chelsea. To me he was a shadow of himself. He has this raw talent that wasn't properly refined.

John Mikel Obi is right. Jackson needs to up his
game in scoring goals and not missing chances to score. In the same vein, the guy between the sticks needs to reduce goal keeping errors.

Palmer passing the ball to Jackson in that game(Man City V Chelsea)was uncalled for. Palmer would have faced the keeper and scored or attempted to score.

Lol you got it all wrong from my own perspective. I was comparing him to the likes of Messi who the played in the under 20 final. Mikel would have been one of the greatest players on Earth if had continued in his natural position and not as a defensive midfielder and under Alex Ferguson. Chelsea made him a lower grade of his true self.

If you are insistent on comparing performances from those who played and won individual playing medals at the U20 final and how they turned out in their senior playing careeers, maybe you should also compare Mikel and Taye Taiwo who won the 3rd best player in that same tournament. When you're done doing so and you've seen how arid Taiwo's club and international trophy cabinets are, then you'd learn to give Mikel the flowers that he richly deserves as one of Nigeria's most successful players ever.

Mikel actually had 277 starts out of the over 300 games he played for Chelsea.

You might argue that his offensive prowess was clipped at Chelsea but he grew into a great defensive midfielder that will be highly appreciated in football today.

The only thing he lacked at Chelsea were beautiful goals like Essien, Meireles and Matic but he had more defensive qualities than the three of them.

Mikel was a class defensive midfielder.

Mikel had the opportunity to play for so long in Chelsea because he played to instruction of those coaches and played alongvery good players and not that he was spectacular.
If you compare Michael Essien to Mikel in the same role you will see the difference.
Mind you, Mikel was a raw talent that never used his potential, having won 2nd best player in 2005 U-20 alongside Messi
