Actually not easy going shopping with a woman, I ain't gonna lie. Most times it's not even about the extras, they are fascinated by everything, just like kids are fascinated by their toys.

Some ladies think life begins and ends inside a Mall.

This is why I prefer to go to the mall or market alone.

When I am in that section, I must sniff ALL the perfumes on the shelves before my body go come down. The ones I can't sniff because they are sealed will have their ingredients and properties thoroughly scrutinised, and the day e enter my head, I stand there and google them online.

Sometimes I tell my wife that our market budget for the day is 70k o. She'll say that's more than enough.

But before I know it, she's made a list that exceeds 100k. If I say anything, I'm accused of being verbally abusive. She also doesn't like going to the market alone.

Your error was following a woman to go shopping. It never ends well. I used to follow my wife to the market but I have sworn never to do that again.

A regular feature in Nigeria is that an item you see in a shop today can disappear never to be seen again

One time there was this garlic flavored olive oil. I saw it in stores for six months and then it disappeared completely for five years

There are some brands of coffee, of honey, lemon juice, that you see for a brief period and then they disappear

The other time I wanted to buy a blower for my pc. I saw it in a store. I put it off and now the blower is gone.

There are 1001 things that if you do not pick up in a Nigerian store when you see them, they may not be seen again for months or years.

Go to a shop like miniso, they have items that you will see for a week and then not see again for six months.

So you cannot take an attitude of I will buy this later.

I agree with the bolded but not completely because most of them, their choices are spontaneous and so they'll likely want to get whatever catches their eyes at the moment.

Besides, it takes a great degree of discipline to stick to budget and or list when in huge departmental stores.

If you don't have much or you don't have time to waste,why go shopping with your woman? Woman can't be worked on or remoulded,work on yourself bro.

I have to pay for the shopping reason I went with her. Alternative will be to surrender my card with the PIN number and I did not want to do that. I work from home so, have all the time in the world.

I didn't lie, l just told the truth l know though l am not in anyway promoting bad behaviour in any person.

Some women are impulsive buyers while some take advantage of lower price to stock up now what will be needed in the future.

Have you ever been in need of something urgently and your wife surprisingly met that need by pulling it out from where she kept it?

I’m a woman and I like to keep to the budget. I don’t like the market but my mom does. If a man is going to be angry about roaming around then it’s best he doesn’t accompany the woman. I don’t like roaming about the market, a mall could get me doing that though. I agree the budget thing is disgusting and inconvenient- but if the prices have gone up, budget has to be adjusted.

She's not properly organised that's all. It's not rocket science to draw up a list and stick to it.
