Your refusal had nothing to do with time you obtained Certificate. Since it was an agent that ran it, something else caused the refusal.

Reapply and DIY
Thanks
I want to apply for Franc myself , plz what are those good documents to use to secure it, all I nid is visiting visa

Yes. Hotel and transport. Can be train, ferry, even bus. Just take time and book refundable ones.

But it’s such a hassle booking all those flights and hotels. I got tired and I just put France alone for mine for first two trips.
For the main trip I put no to are you going to any other Schengen countries.

The two other countries I mentioned them only as possible subsequent trip in the itinerary. A day each or so but didn’t attach any bookings for those ones.

Alternatively you can cancel your appointment, get a refund and start the process again. Fill a new application form.
It’s worth calling TLS London or sending a contact us form.
I think you may also be able to fill a new application form and then they swap it at your appointment.
Thanks so much.

I will call them on Monday if I can swap it. And if not possible, I will book the hotel and flights reservation like that . Just that the hassle in doing it but I have no option now..

2. Will a stanbic money market statement of account suffice for the POF or It must be regular bank account?
3. Of it is regular bank account,How long must the money be in the regular bank account?

Clears throat, testing microphone.

1. I'm a frequently traveler and have been to 1 world countries around the world save the 26 Schengen countries.

2. I just returned from New Zealand in September this year and enroute I got UAE Visa and Australian Visa cos I wanted to transit and get my new passport stamped multiple times, as it was issued in May, 2019 and was still a virgin.

3. It was while in the longest flight in the world Dubai - Auckland (Emirates) that I chatted Madam that by December, we need to do foreign as take my small bobito(son) along.

4. When I returned, I was looking to do Singapore and Malaysia since they are close (like NIGERIA And Benin Republic). As soon as I heard that Malaysian embassy involves visiting VFS Abuja, I picked race grin I'm always scared of Nigerian planes oo.

5. In October, I just found this thread and read lots of posts by Globetrotter101, omotolanibaby, jjcv, Davide etc as well as from others with positive and negative outcomes.

6. Late October, out documents together and submitted application on 31/10/19.

7. It's was group application. I had 2 passports, expired (with different visas) and the new one with UAE Visa, New Zealand. My wife had UAE stamped entry and exit used in 2017, then my little bobito is just 18months old with a passport just issued on 27/10/19.

8. Submitted all my wife's evidence of employment plus letters of promotions, pension statement, plus just 1 months pay slip for September, support letter from office granting her leave, then I had the Head of Admin write a letter of introduction that my company is sponsoring the family trip, as well as her own self introduction letter No statement submitted.

9 for me, dropped photocopies of previous visas, images taken abroad, family images home and abroad, marriage certificate, Company documents, list of real estate assets, car documents, investment in Stocks, bonds and Treasury bills, list company clients plus letters of Engagement, ongoing business transactions correspondences, professional qualifications and certifications, company's SOA, my personal SOA, company's letter of introduction, self introduction letter, company tax clearance plus personal tax clearance, airline reservation, hotel reservation, evidence of booking a boat cruise via Trip advisor, lastly Pension statement.

10. Son's BC, images of his 1 year birthday and letter of introduction for him too

10. Application received 1st November at Embassy, visa signed on 12th November.

They didn't even notify either of us, as I just said I should track the application online and saw the evidence of receipt.

My blood pressure rose to brim and could not wait till tomorrow to pick, but at exactly 2:44pm, left the office rushing to get to Lekki Phase 1 before 4:00pm from Ikoyi.

Had to use that Fashola's Ikoyi link bridge and paid ₦400 toll gate. Got to Manor house around 3:45pm.

When I got there, I was just looking out for that white paper(lol) as I couldn't find anything, I just opened the seal and found visas stamp for all 3 applicants.

Thought I should share the story to encourage someone not to lose hope.

Just package yourself well and pray for God's favor. That's all
WOW - This is very detailed. Thank you so much. This is can provide a good guide.

What amount in Proof of Fund do you think will be adequate as minimum to be in the account. Thank you again and in anticipation.

They're not different

VFS does same thing as TLS

VFS at Manor house in LEKKI did same
TLS now handling are doing same.

The photographers are working with them in syncing
well, I didn’t have to take a new pics when I applied with VSF.

I used an old passport sef .

Abeg, who knows how I can apply for Netherlands visa ?

They said I should go through the French embassy,

But there’s no the form where they have main destination of stay, there’s no option to choose anywhere outside France.

I don’t intend visiting France at all.

Someone please help🙏

Hi,

I did this last year so I'm speaking from experience. You will apply through the French consulate.

Fill the France visa application form here- https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/online-application . For "main destination of stay", select Netherlands (it's the last option so you have to scroll). The arrival address should also be in the Netherlands.

Additionally, I booked an appointment and submitted through TLS. My cover letter was addressed to the Consulate of France but in it, I mentioned my intent to visit the Netherlands. My visa sticker was issued by France but under remarks, "R/NL" was written to indicate Netherlands.

All the best!

You have to do as advised. The embassy gave you conditions for the visa you were granted,

They want to be sure you would return after your trip, so second day after your arrival back from France, please go to Tls as advised, simple as ABC.

Gurus in the house, I’m hoping someone can help me clarify an odd situation with my wife’s visa application.

I'm an EU citizen currently based in Nigeria, and we're applying for a short-stay visa for my wife.

She submitted the application a couple days ago, and we just received an email from the french consulate asking her to contact the "embassy lawyer" to authenticate our Nigerian marriage certificate (see the attached pics below).

After reaching out to the provided contact, the supposed lawyer has sent an invoice of 350k for authentication.

I'm pretty sure this is a scam, but the original email came from a legit address. Her application status on the TLS website still shows In Progress.

Has anyone received a similar request before?

I would be really careful.
Embassy lawyer ke. When did embassy start having lawyers that demand payment or doing marriage authentication. Surely the best route is to authenticate from the Government.
Whatever fees you will pay for visa will be stated outright and only goes to the parent country. Any other thing is to the VAC.
The tone isn’t right at all. And I say it as a lawyer myself.
Though the law firm mentioned appears to be legit, I would call them also and verify from them and have that on record.
Even if they claim they are consular lawyers. I would not put it past the Lagos staff to be conniving with the lawyer.
Basically be careful and look at any “evidence “ carefully.
Confirm from France embassy sef in Abuja and in France.

Apparently OBA OLUFON & CO is a sole proprietorship with an inactive CAC registration https://b2bhint.com/en/company/ng/oba-olufon-and-co--BN-2282532. There's absolutely no way they're working for an embassy.

I've forwarded everything to the French embassy. Hopefully this is enough for them to catch the insider.

I've seen someone with a similar enquiry here about two years ago, not sure how that was resolved.

Here's my observation:- The use of English as captured in the email gives me strong reasons to doubt it's authenticity.

Secondly, Embassies' legal counsels have their offices within the Embassy or Consulate, and not at a different address. Moreso, authentication of Government issued documents are done by the issuing authority - in your case, the Ministry of Interior.

I'll suggest you find the Embassy's telephone number or authentic emails on the website to verify.

These days i am beginning to wonder why everything is usually brought here. This is something very confidential. You will just go underground to investigate. The information the said person has shared here is not needed. Since you are an EU citizen. you have express entry to any european embassy.
