Abeg, who knows how I can apply for Netherlands visa ? They said I should go through the French embassy, But there’s no the form where they have main destination of stay, there’s no option to choose anywhere outside France. I don’t intend visiting France at all. Someone please help🙏 |

Hi, I did this last year so I'm speaking from experience. You will apply through the French consulate. Fill the France visa application form here- https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/online-application . For "main destination of stay", select Netherlands (it's the last option so you have to scroll). The arrival address should also be in the Netherlands. Additionally, I booked an appointment and submitted through TLS. My cover letter was addressed to the Consulate of France but in it, I mentioned my intent to visit the Netherlands. My visa sticker was issued by France but under remarks, "R/NL" was written to indicate Netherlands. All the best! tpain121: |

Pls the Guru in the House there's one small paper that come with my visa from France Embassy visa Section that said I should present myself at the TLS Lagos second day of my arrival from my trip to Lagos what's that means please I don't want to abuse the visa and I don't want too chop aduro please share your Thoughts thank you all |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by hunee: 2:36am On Jan 30, 2025 |
You have to do as advised. The embassy gave you conditions for the visa you were granted, Fathy001:They want to be sure you would return after your trip, so second day after your arrival back from France, please go to Tls as advised, simple as ABC. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Fathy001: 7:43am On Jan 30, 2025 |
I will do that but after this I hope nothing like presentation at TLS again? |

Gurus in the house, I’m hoping someone can help me clarify an odd situation with my wife’s visa application. I'm an EU citizen currently based in Nigeria, and we're applying for a short-stay visa for my wife. She submitted the application a couple days ago, and we just received an email from the french consulate asking her to contact the "embassy lawyer" to authenticate our Nigerian marriage certificate (see the attached pics below). After reaching out to the provided contact, the supposed lawyer has sent an invoice of 350k for authentication. I'm pretty sure this is a scam, but the original email came from a legit address. Her application status on the TLS website still shows In Progress. Has anyone received a similar request before?

racerve:I would be really careful. Embassy lawyer ke. When did embassy start having lawyers that demand payment or doing marriage authentication. Surely the best route is to authenticate from the Government. Whatever fees you will pay for visa will be stated outright and only goes to the parent country. Any other thing is to the VAC. The tone isn’t right at all. And I say it as a lawyer myself. Though the law firm mentioned appears to be legit, I would call them also and verify from them and have that on record. Even if they claim they are consular lawyers. I would not put it past the Lagos staff to be conniving with the lawyer. Basically be careful and look at any “evidence “ carefully. Confirm from France embassy sef in Abuja and in France. |

Amylew:Apparently OBA OLUFON & CO is a sole proprietorship with an inactive CAC registration https://b2bhint.com/en/company/ng/oba-olufon-and-co--BN-2282532. There's absolutely no way they're working for an embassy. I've forwarded everything to the French embassy. Hopefully this is enough for them to catch the insider. |

I've seen someone with a similar enquiry here about two years ago, not sure how that was resolved. Here's my observation:- The use of English as captured in the email gives me strong reasons to doubt it's authenticity. Secondly, Embassies' legal counsels have their offices within the Embassy or Consulate, and not at a different address. Moreso, authentication of Government issued documents are done by the issuing authority - in your case, the Ministry of Interior. I'll suggest you find the Embassy's telephone number or authentic emails on the website to verify. racerve: |

These days i am beginning to wonder why everything is usually brought here. This is something very confidential. You will just go underground to investigate. The information the said person has shared here is not needed. Since you are an EU citizen. you have express entry to any european embassy. Africankel:Please let be guided with what we post here, these guys see everything. Go and make your investigations underground @racerve Nice contribution Kel. |
