Thank God the boy survived but I blame the father here, he knew they were security but decided not to stop for them, this is Nigerians attitude we disrespect security men too much,so why did he go back to them when he realized his son was shot? That useless man could have killed his son for nothing

Honestly I wonder why with all these evils multiplying everywhere daily, daft idiots who don't value their lives and security would wandering the streets very late at night when nearly everyone is asleep.
I don't pity such when they encounter trouble.
Excuse Mr,where is it written in the 🇳🇬 constitution that you cannot move, walk, ride or drive in the night?

If we've cctv cameras installed in all our towns/cities, 247 steady electricity & police patrol across board, there won't be need for vigilante.

It's just unfortunate where we're today as a Nation!!!!

The father is to be blame. He knew they were security before he increased the speed. If he thought they were robber, will he gone back to held the shooter? The father is a criminal.
The father going back after the damage had been done showed he deliberately refused to stop for checks. If armed robbers shot at them, would he go back to fight? He knew them but felt above checks. Again, that his boy could mobilize tugs to come for reprisal attacks was all that remained. He simply just dared the security men for their worst. He saw it

The problem with Nigeria is the police who think it's normal and legal to shoot suspects when their wife wn lives are not in danger.

They assume by beating a checkpoint, they can shoot at people.

The illiterate neighborhood watch and vigilantes learnt from the police and do as police and army do

It is written in the constitution and book of common sense

Most evils are perpetrated at night, and even worst if you know the environment is dangerous, everyone and everything becomes a suspect

if you thought the night guard where robbers why did you go back to hold them after your son was shot?
if the night guard recognized you that means you knew them, because am sure they were not standing on that spot for the first time.

lets avoid doing things that provoke chaos, when they stop u try to stop.

Excuse Mr Barrister, where is it written in your common sense and reasoning and safety conscious cognitive abilities, that you can be move about at midnight hours when no sensible human should be about.
Oga, your reasoning makes me doubt how you managed to pass Use of English particularly in WAEC and JAMB.
It's your type that can't even properly comprehend a question in exam before answering.
Go and sit down my friend.

Not excusing the carelessness of the night guard, but 11:50pm is too late for a father to be riding outside with his son in Nigeria! If the night guard didn't get him, thieves, policemen and ritualists are also out there... it's just too dangerous! Oru o mo eni Owo (the dark night doesn't respect anyone)! Let's be guided

Maybe they have a shop that requires them to be closing late.

What is a JSS3 doing out this late at night? What is wrong with us sef? After 11pm, they ought to be home and let the vigilante do their jobs. This is crazy but in the future when the vigilantes don't shoot and they are all massacred, we would also wonder why they did nothing. We need to have clear rules of engagement for our vigilantes. Imagine being descended upon and killed for trying to stop a thief, especially these days when people could be walking around with other people's head and so on.

That’s absolutely terrifying! Innocent lives should never be at risk due to negligence. Hoping the boy recovers well and that proper action is taken against reckless shooting.

Maybe they have a shop that requires them to be closing late.
Unless that, but nevertheless they should wire their closing time to enable them avoid such incidents.
They may even have fallen into the hands of robbers.
