How do you define “inappropriate” in that context?
A female patient appears to a doctor, complaining of pains in the lower abdomen. Should the doctor, by rule, not feel the area of complain, as a way of finding the solution?

Or you do not know that in the American society, men are endangered species, with women who have too much liberties? If they do not want make doctors to administer to them, then they should simply get female doctors to attend to female patients.

We do not discount the fact of make doctors who take advantage of their patients. However, we must bear in mind that some women deliberately set up the doctors, just to damage their reputations.

Sometimes chaperones aren't always available. I have been in this shoes. A girl accused me of sexual assault cos I wanted to examine her chest. All the nurses were unavailable cos it was Oct 1st, a public holiday and the hospital was full. I didn't touch her and I was accused, imagine what would have happened if I actually touched her…

Only a person sitting I Nigeria without good knowledge of what happens in predominantly white territory will quickly agree with this claim. Did u see that the news did not say allegedly but that the doctor did. As a black doctor, ensure that there is camera in your consulting room. Make effort to call for the presence of a nurse if your examination warrants touching especially a female white. There are many cases like this where the man did nothing wrong. Only camera will save u. Lots of whites are possessed and will put u in trouble. Someone I know in the UK had this kind of issue. A white nurse asked him out and he refused. After some time, the young Dr performed a long surgery which came out successful and he decided to give the two nurses in the room a hug for good job. That day police came and picked him to molestation (that they were touched inappropriately). The guy went to court for two yrs before God set him free.

This is why some physicians have started recording audio consent from patients. They now have the device attached to them and before starting the examination, they let the patient know that the conversation is being recorded and do they have permission to proceed.

Unfortunately, this is how it has to be from now on and it will only get worse.......Everybody is looking for a payday and professsional men are the easiest target!

Does ethics asked you to examine female chest all alone? I could remember wen my wife went for one medical examination, wen the doctor called nurses and noticed they weren't around, he called me, the husband to stay with them, while examining.

The story you posted up there not 💯% how it went through.

I read just now how a Saskatchewan hospital in Canada (SHA) forced a Nigerian Dr. (Akinbiyi) to carry out a delivery surgery on his own daughter, while other Doctors were present at the hospital. This he claimed was against medical ethics in Nigeria and even against his personal beliefs.

They coerced him and he did it, if they asked him to put hand in fire, I biliv he would comply.

The ethics says, do the examination in present of nurses, perhaps, female health assistant.

Do you want to tell me, all nurses won't be in attendance? What about female health assistants?

In medical schools, which I've visited 4, females are more in number but in our hospitals I come across far more number of male doctors.

I wonder if the females turned to house wives and stopped practicing after graduation and focused in marital life which I doubt that's the case.

You know the number of women he has treated all these years for 4 women to say he touched them inappropriately? He may have done his job well but misinterpreted by these few women or the others are just supporting the woman that reported.

It could be he actually touched them.
