Two things can be right at the same time. Russia was wrong to take Crimea and also, the West could have forced them to play that card. Ukraine has the right to decide its future, Russia is acting based on what it perceives as a threat.

China is doing the same thing. If the US starts pushing more in Taiwan, it may force China to go in quickly and secure Taiwan.

Honestly, you do a lot of speaking, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of in-depth thought behind it.
You assume that your view of what is wrong means that something is wrong.
But your views are shallow. Made without an understating of the things you speak.

It's not your fault, as some of this stuff is highly complicated and interdependent and harder to understand esp. if you don't have an understanding of US history.
And it's harder if you get your news from Twitter and Facebook.

But I've tried not to judge that lack of understanding but you continue to come at my with your bothsidism and view that somehow you are superior because you are in the middle of both liberals and conservatives.

Take some time and think about why you believe what you believe and what those principles are based on.

The whole reason for being neutral is that you can be swayed by the good or bad decision of either side. In a good Republican election with a good candidate, you vote and support them. Your enemy decided that to break you, it needed to support an extreme section of your politic. You get consumed by their algorithms and bots and decide that your salvation lies in your enemies prescription for your downfall, then you start rowing back your previous beliefs. Ukraine only asked to join the EU to improve their living conditions like they've seen all their neighbours do. Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe with GDP per capita around $3.5k whilst their ex-Soviet neighbours are boasting $20k to $30k per capita. They only wanted financial upliftment. Russia reacted violently, poisoning their President as far back as 2004, so they decided to apply for NATO membership in 2008 like all their neighbours did to protect themselves after trying to join the EU and seeing Russias reaction. That's the long and short of the Ukraine matter, a simple attempt by a people to improve their financial status and their big brother couldn't stomach it. NATO is already on Russias border from several countries and has never done anything to interfere in Russia, Russia is the one poisoning people (check Salisbury poisoning), hacking systems and carrying out sabotage on NATO countries. Russia even asked to join NATO but were told NATO is for democratic nations that see eye to eye on democratic ideals. They ask to join NATO but their little brother can't ask the same thing.

US tariffs on steel and aluminium and the EU's retaliation on goods including motorcycles and whisky will be suspended until the end of March 2025.

They were originally imposed when Donald Trump was president on national security grounds.

But they were paused under Joe Biden's administration.

The deferment will allow President Biden to keep his EU allies onside.

But because they have been paused and not abolished, he will appear to be tough on trade for a domestic audience.
