Don't let that break you. Consider it a start of new phase.
To be honest it's always very tough, but you have your freedom

Losing a job can be a devastating experience, and it's normal to feel low and down. It's like a punch to the gut, and it can be hard to catch your breath.

Firstly, please know that you're not alone. Many people have gone through similar experiences and have come out stronger on the other side.

It's amazing that you're turning to faith and prayer during this challenging time. May God indeed grant you joy in your heart and peace that surpasses all understanding.

Remember that this too shall pass. You will get through this, and you will come out stronger. You've survived tough days before, and you can do it again.

Take some time to grieve and process your emotions, but also remember to be kind to yourself. You got this!

Here are some encouraging scriptures to meditate on:

- "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
- "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
- "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18

Keep your head up, and know that better days are ahead. You're strong, capable, and loved.

Sorry about that bro... I've been there before, it is never a good feeling... There's always that sinking feeling in your stomach when the storm is gathering and when it finally happens.
But here is the good news, this phase will pass and you will move on to other things.
My few advice:
1. Don't accept contract employment. It always comes to this. Apply only for full time roles, if not stated, insist on asking.
2. Don't give up on paid employment, forget that jizz they all talk about starting your own business bla bla bla. If you are educated and of working age, chase the salary. It gives you a realistic pedestal to set yourself up for later life.
3. Identify anything that may be putting you at a disadvantage - is it Hnd you have? Get a Bsc via top up, direct entry, distance learning etc. Is it Bsc you have? Get a masters, doesn't matter in what field, just be a masters holder. Is it certifications? Try getting the key ones.
Stack up and relaunch.
Cheers

Re: Employment : I Lost My Job by papyjaypaul: 6:24pm On Jan 30, 2025
Give it a week or 2, you'll be fine. We don't need to know why you were sacked but if you did something wrong like stealing from your employer, use this as a moment of reflection. I heard one lady ask if she has the permission to steal from her boss because they were not paying her and the presenter asked her, will you take what does not belong to you or you will leave it?

If it was their fault, be grateful that you are now challenged to find something better. Think about it as a blessing because right now there is no guarantee they will pay your salary.

One of the worst things that can happen to any man is losing his job. Chai! He'll immediately begin to develop symptoms of TYPHOID FEVER.

I remember when I lost my job too because I went to do "Aluta" at work. I lost interest in almost all the things that previously gave me joy. Food, e no sweet for my mouth again. PS4, I no play again. Movies, I couldn't derive watch again. Even to step outside the house self became a very big issue for me. I'll be indoors most days doing absolutely nothing. huh huh

To make matters worse, I lost my erection. Na there my wife take provoke. She started insulting me that I went to do Aluta in another person's business. She said I shouldn't use my own situation to affect her knacking o. cheesy cheesy

Funny enough, she still stood by me, but her insults motivated me to search harder. To the glory of God, I did overcome the situation. Dear OP, just don't give up. You too will overcome.

How are you doing?

Time dey fly ooo! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating the New Year, and now, January is almost over.
This is the perfect moment to step back and ask yourself:

1) How well have I managed my finances this month?

2) Did you spend wisely, save enough, or make any investment decisions? If not, do not worry. It is not too late to take control and get back on track.

Recent events in Nigeria, such as the tragic fuel tanker explosion in Enugu State, which claimed at least 98 lives, reminded us just how unpredictable life can be. Beyond the devastating loss of lives, affected families are now facing medical bills, funeral costs, and financial challenge.

Meanwhile, rising inflation, increased fuel prices, and an unstable economy continue to stretch the budgets of many households. These realities make it clear that financial planning, particularly saving and investing, is not something to put off.
E get why ooo.
Why You Should Prioritize Financial Planning Now
As we approach the end of January, it is important to reflect on your financial habits and adjust before the year slips away.

Here is why:

1) Emergencies Do Not Give Warnings: A sudden illness, job loss, or unexpected expenses can set you back financially if you do not have savings.

2) The Cost of Living is Rising: Food, transport, rent, and almost everything is getting more expensive. If your money is not growing, you will struggle to keep up.

3) Opportunities Come to Those Who Are Prepared: Whether it is starting a business, buying property, or investing, financial stability gives you more options.

Steps to Take Before February Begins
1) Review Your January Spending: Look at how you spent your money this month. Did you stick to a budget, or overspend on unnecessary things? Identifying where your money went will help you make smarter choices in the months ahead.

2) Start or Strengthen Your Emergency Fund: Unexpected expenses can happen at any time. Having at least three to 6 months’ worth of living expenses saved can prevent financial stress when emergencies arise.

3) Cut Back on Unnecessary Expenses: If you have been spending too much on eating out, subscriptions, or impulsive shopping, now is the time to cut back and redirect that money towards savings and investments.

4) Begin Investing: If you have been postponing investment decisions, make February the month you start. Consider:
a) Stocks and Bonds: For long-term financial growth.
b) Treasury Bills and Fixed Deposits: For steady, low-risk returns.
c) Real Estate: A great way to secure your financial future.

5) Avoid the Debt Trap: If you relied too much on credit or borrowed money this month, prioritize paying off high-interest debts. The less you owe, the more you can save and invest.

6) Secure Your Future with Insurance: Unexpected health issues or accidents can wipe out savings. Health and life insurance provide a financial safety net for you and your loved ones.

7) Set Financial Goals for February and Beyond: A new month is another chance to improve your financial standing. Set goals such as saving a percentage of your income, reducing debt, or starting a side hustle to increase earnings.
You know I love nothing more than to see you thrive financially.
Yes, January don nearly finish, but the rest of the year is still ahead.

Na as you take manage your money today, go determine your financial stability tomorrow.
Do not wait for a crisis to force you into action.

Take charge now. Save, invest, and plan wisely – because financial security is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
Start now, and by December, you will be glad you did.

Almost everyone has experienced this.

If you were giving severance pay - use it wisely.

HIS QUESTION MATTERS.......IT COULD SERVE EITHER AS A LESSON OR MESSAGE TO HIM AND OTHERS.......... WHAT IF HE STOLE FROM HIS WORKPLACE OR COMMITTED ANY OTHER OFFENCE AGAINST THE POLICY OF THE WORKPLACE.

HE SHOULD SHARE THE STORY FOR US TO ANALYZE IT.
