I'm only talking about having a coherent message and plan here going forward here. The progressive wing of the Democrats has one, they've been the ones to correctly identify the threat of Trump for a long time, and were called hysterical for it.
The issue is coming from the corporate wing of the Democrats who're having a hard time reconciling the contradictions in interests of their wealthy donors and their voter base.

Bernie had a simple message "Healthcare reform, Getting money out politics, higher minimum wage, tax reform, pro union" but he actually meant it.

Heck, they don't have to adopt socialist positions or whatever, be a very vocal obstructionist party like the Republicans were under biden. Be vocal, be combative, go onto Foxnews, Newsmax, CNN, any media that will expose more people to you directly point out everything going wrong right now and pin it onto Trump and the Republican party.
In the senate and congress, make and push bills, even if Republicans will vote against them, have them vote against federal free school launches and make a big political scene about it, for example.

Someone that's been trying on this is Governor Pritzker for example.

The unions knew what Biden did for them, they still supported Trump who wants to destroy unions.

I think people have to live it firsthand before they understand the consequences of their votes.
