I am not a fan of SA, especially the xenophobic South Africans. That said, SA and US can and should have bilateral discussions from time to time, that is normal talk between countries, but I don't see any delegation coming from SA to beg Trump even if Trump impose new tariff against SA. SA only get few millions from US that covers 17% of the cost of their AIDS treatment program. Certainly that won't shake SA.. The Trade volume between SA and US is less than $25B and the costly items SA export to US include Gold, Platinum and other precious minerals; as a key member of BRICS, SA will not wait for long to find new market among BRICS and in EU if Trump declare a trade war with SA.
