The Lords Chosen Church, Nkaleha, was attacked and six members of the Church, including their Pastor were brutally murdered. It has come to our notice that the Ijaws of Nigeria's Rivers State are being treated like second class citizens despite producing over 70 percent of Rivers State Crude Oil Deposit of which Rivers State is the second highest oil producing State in Nigeria producing 24 percent of Nigeria's Crude Oil Deposit.
Most Nigeria's Crude Oil is based offshore and if Ijaws of Rivers State is removed, Rivers State become landlocked.



The Universities in Rivers State are situated in Ikwerre territory, there is a Polytechnic in Ogoni land and now a University added to it.
Ogoni is not even larger than Kalabari Subgroup of Ijaw.



We are using this medium to tell the President of Nigeria that if a University is not situated in Ijaw areas of Rivers State, we will see to it that the Crude Oil leaving Ijaw areas of Rivers is halted.
How can Ijaws occupy half the State and no tertiary institution?
Enough marginalizations on Rivers Ijaws.
