Just be patient I guess it will soon be responded to. Those guys that had theirs approved recently submitted since around June and July last year

Toriosas95:
This is my current situation since August.

We have uploaded flight itinery twice. November and January They requested for the minor authorization and consent in January 8 Because it was not initially submitted. We couriered it back immediately. And we are still waiting.

Hello my people, please does the embassy holding back one's passport and documents for long means the person will get the visa? The last time I was denied, they gave me back my passport and documents within few days after interview. Please does anyone has an answer to this? 👆👆

Please help.
My wife applied since July, and we only got email to send updated ticket and hotel reservations in November.
How can we cancel the application so we can get the passport back? Its been over 6 months
We are in the same boat 🛥️ here since August 😤😤

Same here. We did the MOFA notarization thing December for my child too. It’s disheartening but what choice does a third world country has?
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by dvs511: 11:02am On Jan 25, 2025
Only the Embassy can answer this question.
We applied in July, later in October we received an email asking us to provide another flight reservation, hotel bookings and bank statement, which we did.
In November, they sent another email requesting for the same thing again.
Finally we got the visas in December. Even while checking the status on their website, our application went from "under review" to "record not found",
I'd advise you to not cancel the application and wait it out until they make a decision, unless you need to use your passport.
Goodluck.

Good afternoon house.

Does anyone have any idea about Digital Nomad visa? I’m thinking of applying for it as I work remotely with US companies. Please any information will be greatly appreciated.

Don't bother, they don't process it for Nigerians. You can come on a tourist visa and switch to a study visa (with a Portuguese language course) or you may give the Digital Nomad visa a shot when you get here. You can weigh your options then but I've heard the process is long and frustrating and even for other nationalities.

P.S: Brazil is a great country to live if you work remotely and earn USD.

True.
I applied for and secured the Digital Nomad Residency within Brazil itself.

Hello everyone,
Mainly 2019 -2022 set that migrated to Brazil 🇧🇷
It must have been a lifetime experience, from visa struggles to giving birth, permanent residence documentation, filling for neutralization, learning a new language, finding your feet in a new economy.
just to mention a few Moments of smiles and frowns in the life of an immigrant. Despite the sacrifices made and the progress achieved, your very best is yet to be manifest. KEEP PUSHING AND DON'T BACK DOWN MY PEOPLE

You don't need birth certificates. But your police character will have to go to Brasilia to the embassy. Then there's paperwork to be done, before beginning the final application process in whichever city you're located in. Most likely you will have to extend but I don't see that as a big issue.
Thanks,

I understand I don't need to Legalize my own birth certificate.

But please do I need to legalize my marriage certificate and my older child’s birth certificate at the Nigerian Embassy in Brasilia for the Permanent Residency application?. I have an older child who is 2 years old and was born in Nigeria.
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by kingzlee: 12:21pm On Jan 31, 2025

You do have to legalise your marriage certificate and your child's own. Best advice, is legalise all your documents. Documentation challenges doesn't end with just permanent residence applications

Thank you so much for your response. I’ll try visit visa.

All that is needed is the consular letter from Nigerian embassy and his passport. All other documents are irrelevant for permanent residency application.

Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by TadeDetule: 1:48pm On Feb 04, 2025
It doesnt have a specified time. Although from comments I think they are now faster in response time now

Just like that? Haba no. If your documents aren't complete, you will surely receive a mail for an update, I believe.

Dem don scan you thoroughly see say you want to run away from Nigeria, with the current immigration policies happening in different countries at the moment, most embassies are reluctant to issue Visa especially to Africans, Dem no say na run una want to run to get Brazilian Kpali, Brazilian sef dey run, l met one like that in Toronto years back, working as a cleaner in one of the building l was working

Brazilian, Colombians, Chileans, Mexican's etc are also running, heading to the US or Canada, so embassy knows the Koko wey dey ground, it's up to you to prove to them beyond reasonable doubt say you are not in that category of Run away applicants, so getting a Visa now, you have to produce water tight documents void of unecessary suspicion on the applicant part that he or she wants to vamoose

long and short, give it some time, address the reasons for your refusal, and apply again and when reapplying , your application should not show desperation, do as of you no really Care for the Visa but once dem give you, you enter airplane and land for Brazil, you fit disappear like SPIRITtongue

Get your head examined properly before you respond with the rubbish in your empty demented head, we have Chileans also migrating and l met some of them as well in Canada, you live in Chile according to you, visit Canada and you will see Lots of Chileans in Canada , we are not talking about Chile been developed than European countries or not, we are talking about migration, virtually every citizen of different countries migrate as well be it US, JAPAN, CANADA, etc migration is not restricted to one country alone ,

Yes but you are making it seem like Chileans are running to the USA illegally. Off course Chileans are in Canada young Chileans can work in Canada with the working holiday visa and Chileans are also one of the few nationalities exempt from having an lmia to work in Canada due to the trade agreement between Canada and Chile. It’s not the same with migrating illegally and doing shitty jobs or marrying fat old white women for papers like we Nigerians do

Oh no ,go and read my initial response, l never alluded nor say that they are running away illegally to the US or Canada, l said that they are also running or heading to the US / Canada and that does not imply migrating illegally na, there is no Single country on earth that her citizens do not migrate / Run/ or head to another country either for work, visit, retirement, marriage, career advancement or to avoid heavy taxes at their home country etc

Running, heading, migration or migrating, leaving your home country doesn't imply migrating illegally,
