I heard from a pal that a doctor that attended to him at Ifako ijaiye consulted Ai. Learned that some will tell patience that surgery is needed when none is required.

This is unfortunate though. May their souls RIP.

I feel for those Doctors. On one hand, they want to help. On the other, it seems they were not capable enough.

They're most probably post house job doctors or inexperienced who have not even done enough Cesarean sections supervised.

They probably deceived the owner of the hospital and claimed they could do a CS when they could not. If you can do a CS, a private hospital will pay you more compared to a doctor that cannot

In fact, your grey matter is very active.

I can bet my 2cents that those people are not doctors. Many Paramedicals parade themselves as doctors and brag about being able to do everything a doctor can do. Especially people from school of health technology and the likes. Many unsuspecting victims mistake them for true doctors and get damaged. Even a patient drug dealer in the communities are called doctors and they practice like one. Nigerian have also accepted them. It's unfortunate.

It reminds of what happened in a Lagos hospital some years ago, where doctors were using Google to treat patients until luck ran out of them.

If you visit a doctor and they don’t pay attention to you, instead focusing on their laptop or phone, just know that they’re likely consulting Google about your ailment.

Did it occur to you they may be tryna check out the drug-drug interaction or possible side effects? No doctor knows all the side effects profile and drug interactions of every drug. Moreover it may be a new drug he's tryna prescribe

In this same Lagos, my wife visited LASUTH in 2019 with a case of ulcer. The female doctor who treated her was researching the information on google, while writing in the file. We were horrified and could not talk much. When we returned the next day with the results of the tests, we met a much experienced male Doctor, who was a consultant. We registered our complain and the man apologized. He knew the female Doctor and said that it would be looked into. He prescribed other tests and gave his own treatment plan, which was effective.
