It's a misplaced priority in trying to create new states by the national assembly. The question is, is that the problem of Nigeria? No matter how old these states are the new states won't solve the problem of corruption, injustice and inequality in the system. Nigeria is sick.

All the states created by Northern illegitimate military govts and fused people together and carved out others into a different states for their ulterior motives. A very big shame to Southern leaders that only illiterate and illegitimate northern leaders created each of the states in Nigeria to the disadvantage of southerners

Constitution. It has to pass through the National Assembly, and you know how the differences in tribes and regions affect things.

That could be why they are now talking of 31 more States grin, so every Senator can boast of creating a state and possibly becoming a godfather, if not a governor

More 31 states to be added
So long it's a misplaced priority, the Senate will surely approve of it, I know them for that.
Paying attention to irrelevant matters is their job and hobby.

Sha.. sha... sha.. shaaaa.... Shame!!!
Shame on Benue and Kwara states. Two of the oldest states in Nigeria yet among the most undeveloped.
Benue particularly has been plaqued by very incompetent leaders particularly the immediate past governor of the state, a clown who used the name of God in vain and robbed the state dry.
Anyone who has had the misfortune of visiting Benue state can attest to this. Benue has a covenant with backwardness.

All created by the military, non by civilians because, the military has a Way of doing things, and it is always effective. in order to facilitate proper command and control, a military officer will always break down his subordinates into little groups and companies that are distinct but created for the overall running of the brigade (nation)... Civilians on the other hand lack the ability to be effective without help from the military or paramilitary... Use too much force =Dictator,, use to little force = Revolution.. so civilians keep everything in the center, as they came to see the military do.. using the militarys hardware for civilian duties..
