In a significant breakthrough, the Agunechemba Security Squad successfully raided a kidnappers' hideout in Owerri-Ezukala, located in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The operation, carried out in the early hours of Thursday, February 6, 2025, resulted in the arrest of key suspects and the recovery of a substantial cache of weapons.

Acting on credible intelligence, the joint task force—comprising local security operatives, police, and military personnel—moved in to dismantle the criminal operation.

Several individuals were apprehended during the raid, while an array of firearms, including AK-47 rifles, pump-action guns, and locally made pistols, was seized. Additionally, various charms and other incriminating materials were discovered at the hideout.

Which criminals exactly, people they round up at building site where they were busy working... So it has gotten to this that innocent people will be round up and tag kidnappers, chai my people when has it gotten to this... The engineer of the house where they were working and the owner of the house has already reported to the police .. my distance cousin brother was one of them,he left with his working tools two days ago to look for daily meal and this is where he ended... Please stop arresting innocent people and tagging them criminal.. soludu you can do better than this , karma will pay you if you didn't do well

Let's pray there is due process so that we don't end up with another Bakassi Boys that deviated from their mandates. But anything to make Anambra safe is a welcomed development because right now, the State leads in all the bad news.
