Being shy isn't fun at all... I still remember the first time I stood in front of 200+ people to do a presentation back in varsity... My heart rate was on another level as if I was going to have a heart attack.

It's only fun when you're just sitting back and watching others making a fool out of themselves....😂😂😂...The only thing that gave me a little confidence was the fact that my group and I spent an entire week rehearsing for the presentation and even taking turns to ask each other questions.

I was presenting the most important part of the presentation, which was the case.

If we didn't prepared, I'd have fainted...😂😂😂

Being shy comes with being reserved

First thing I learnt how to do as young man was to be outspoken, I did this by arming myself with vocabularies, fine tuned my choice of worlds and learn the art of eye contacts when necessary, with these I could politely engage in conversations with people, crowd, lecturers, strangers, anybody.

Since then I never looked back

After these, I learnt to ask and answer questions In classes, seminars meetings etc even if they were not so bright, this particularly helped me a lot to beat shyness and timidity

I never see the crowd I no fit stand in front of to deliver a speech or ask questions.

I barely speak English, broken English na my forth but when situation calls for it, I dey deliver.


As a young man, randomly say hi to strangers especially the opposite sexz, do these often then graduate to complimenting something about them, maybe hair or nails or smile or just anything personal about them(men included)

Keep it short and brief, no force am, but do it randomly and frequently, before you know it the conversation is flowing effortlessly except the other person is not interested, which brings us to learning how to accept rejection and Loses.

You are more likely to be rejected or ignored by strangers than being recognized, use that to build your confidence instead.

By the time he's done pronouncing, some of us would be gone with laughter...

It depends on the gender.

Shyness on women is normal or even good but as a man it's bad.

Shyness as a man will limit you. Even to get a babe will hard you. Once a lady observe that you're a shy guy without confidence, she can't accept you. Even if you're handsome she won't feel comfortable dating you.
