Musk is not killing it. they are looking into it. there is a new takeover. Just as how USAID is not being abolished they are rooting out all the fraudulent acts and actors of the organization.
I’m not the one that typed RIP to the agency. You might want to take it up with him.

Of all the agencies to come after it’s the one that investigated him and has retrieved billions of dollars to the American people

Only you didn't get the message of what Biden was saying when he said you ain't black if you don't vote for him. I agree with him 100%. Only blacks who are not black enough will leave Biden who did a lot for Blacks and vote for Trump who believes as a black man you are 2nd class human.

I have no problem with a Black woman Kamala jailing black people on 'trumped up' drug charges? If she was wrong it certainly won't be because she is racist against black... Or like your boss you think she is an Indian woman who suddenly turned black?

Now that you reminded me of Biden's comment.. I wish to ask, Dayo are you really black?
Trump increased funding for black colleges which affects the lives of thousands of black students

Signed a first step act which gave many black men 2nd chances in life

Took black unemployment to historic lows before covid

But the appointment of one person is what matters

No wonder Obama had to come and be scolding Black men for not supporting Kamala, they remember her that's why she lost woefully

You can make that point if the important work they are doing is merged with another department. But what Musk is doing is to kill it.

Argentina did not kill a lot of ministries, they merged many together so they have fewer political appointees to cut cost.
I wonder what type of tax payer is upset that the misappropriation of his tax dollars is being audited

Your comment shows that you are naive

The mistake you make is that only Magas hate blacks.

FYI, White liberals also hate blacks, they treat blacks like kids and feel like they can save blacks.

Both Magas and white liberals are all working for the common good of the white race.

Do you think white liberals and Magas will allow blacks to take economic power away from them..hell No.

Also I just want to ask, why do white liberals keep pushing mulattos on blacks?

They make them the leaders of all the protest groups and all the black associations.

Don't you understand that the whites are scared of losing powers to the blacks, so they will subtly take away power from blacks while stroking their egos.

You’re still wiggling yourself around trying to come up with an explanation of what he plans to do. He has said it himself that he wants them to no longer exist. Maybe you should listen more to the words of the people you’re supporting instead of doing interpretative dance of what they might mean.

What has killing an important agency like CFPA that protects common man from financial abuse at the hands of mega corporations and banking institutions got to do with this your post? Is there any evidence that they are misappropriating funds under this Agency too? Or you and Musk just don't value the work of the Agency?

In particular what has killing CFPA got to do with your repetition of "trans in Colombia, sesame street in Iraq, pottery in Morocco, tourism in Egypt", Is that your only talking point even after that line has been discussed over and over?

He's not wrong.
It's not simply about Economics as you see it, it's about winning hearts and minds for those US products and beneficial US policies.
And the money USAID spends has a multiplier effect and propaganda effect.

This is a pic I took years back. My cousin usually has an end of year party in his compound in the East. This is a pic of a child dancing to the DJ that was set up outside the compound. I thought the jacket was so interesting. Took a picture and talked to them about the jacket. Local children, never been to the US nor have their parents. Parents bought the jacket at the market.
Let's leave outside the immediate good the money does. How much more likely do you think that child will grow up to like US products or be supportive of US policies or if he is a brilliant inventor want to immigrate to the US?

You're thinking of this stuff in a purely short term way. When we are losing long term benefits because of people being unable to see beyond this second.
Winning what hearts? You cannot win over the entitled. The reactions I have been seeing in light of this withdrawal smacks of entitlement. Nigerians and a lot of these countries now have an entitlement state of mind and now see this benevolence as their right. The same way illegal immigrants see the US as their right. China, Russia, Japan you don't flaunt your right to enter these places illegally like the US

Who dem born well to protest with Mexico or Palestine flag for Moscow. If Putin no trowey you from window or send you go Siberia make I know wetin cause am

There's none of these policies and nothing about the USAID that serves the needs of the American people right now. There are zero long term benefits. Takers have no limits so a giver must set them

The same way you don't help your neighbor's children with their food and school fees while your own children are starving. Only a foolish man will be doing giveaway while him mama dey soak akamu

That was how the USAID was important and helping the common man with EV in Vietnam, subscription to politico, donations to BBC, DEI in Ireland, until Elon and DOGE exposed them

The debt keeps blowing up every year, Bureaucrats keep creating more agencies to spend more money with little to show for it

In places where DEI was not involved, Black Americans have excelled in great proportion because they are the best in what they do. No one is arguing that DEI should be introduced in the NBA or NFL to ramp up other groups.

In 1950, Earl Lloyd became the first african american to play in the NBA. His first game was on October 31, 1950, so before that there were no Black athletes on any NBA team.

In 1920, Fritz Pard integrated the NFL by becoming the first Black player in the league after his success, NFL owners didn’t allow another Black player until in 1946, when they permitted 4 other Black players. that is a whooping 26 years from the time the first african played in the NFL until the league essentially integrated. again, in 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first Black player in MLB.

none of those major sports franchises implemented DEI or integration policies they simply decided, We’re going to let the best players win. from the 50s onward, the leagues transitioned from being 99.9% white to overwhelmingly Black. today, 70.4% of NBA players are Black. In the NFL, 56% of the players identify as Black while 27% identify are white. In Major League Baseball, africans represent only 6% of the players, Hispanics make up 29%, and whites account for 60%.

As you can see, the major sports leagues all started with zero diversity and, over 70 years, have become extremely diverse. The NBA and NFL are now majority africans, while MLB is about 40% nonwhite transforming from 99% all white. all these were achieved without DEI initiatives or affirmative action, but by simply seeking the best candidates regardless of race. In sports, performance is what matters: if you can do it, you will get paid.
this example shows that businesses and industries have made many Black people millionaires without relying on DEI policies or affirmative action it was all about merit. That’s the same way you get a job as a starting point guard in the NBA or a starting quarterback in the NFL: straight up merit. Merit alone has worked in the past to diversify these fields without any additional help.

Agents at Immigration and Customs Enforcement are under increasing pressure to boost the number of arrests and deportations of undocumented immigrants, as President Donald Trump has expressed anger that the amount of people deported in the first weeks of his administration is not higher, according to sources familiar with the discussions at ICE and the White House. NBC News Homeland Security Correspondent Julia Ainsley has the latest.

You are the sort of person who would believe all Igbos hate Yorubas, and all Yorubas hate Igbos, and they all hate Fulanis and Hausas and vice versa, and if I show you tribal intermarriage, you will ignore the evidence and claim I am naive.

Some people work for the improvement of their environment, and love their neighbours regardless of tribe race and colour, because not everyone is ignorant, and not Every White Man Thinks Like Elon Musk, however it is Musk thinks. If they all did, no white person would be opposing what he does.

Just listen to yourself ignorantly generalising. Or would you like to convince me that being Nigerian makes you a scammer, and your parents are corrupt and criminals because they are Nigerian like some ignorant fuqs think?

motymop:
I didn't sit in any corner to generalise white people.

It is the same way, the whites generalise about Black people.

All Nigerians are scammers- that is their perception about Nigerians

All blacks are criminals- that is their own perception.

All blacks are corrupt and dishonest., that is a generalized opinions of white people

Africa is poor, Africans are poor, Africans live in huts, Africans have low IQ, it is a generalized perception of how they view us.

When it comes to perception, the generalized view supercedes the individual view.

The generalized view is the one that creates the image.
Let me know when your generalised perception supersedes reality and changes the temperature of water please.

America’s Own goal.

Let’s distrust all scientists and medical experts, researchers and professionals.

Only the guy who asked us to inject bleach must have the right knowledge.
The National Institutes of Health is capping an important kind of funding for medical research at universities, medical schools, research hospitals and other scientific institutions.

In the latest step by the Trump administration affecting scientific research, the NIH says the agency is limiting funding for "indirect costs" to 15% of grants. That's far below what many institutions have been getting to maintain buildings and equipment and pay support staff and other overhead expenses. For example, Harvard receives 68% and Yale gets 67%, according to the NIH.

Morale plummets at the CDC as staff fear job losses
The NIH says the new policy, which marks a major change in how the agency funds research, is more in line what private foundations pay.

"Most private foundations that fund research provide substantially lower indirect costs than the federal government, and universities readily accept grants from these foundations," the NIH says in a notification released Friday announcing the change.

"Although cognizant that grant recipients, particularly 'new or inexperienced organizations,' use grant funds to cover indirect costs like overhead...NIH is obligated to carefully steward grant awards to ensure taxpayer dollars are used in ways that benefit the American people and improve their quality of life," the announcement says.

The NIH says the change will apply to both current and future grants, and even suggests the new policy would apply retroactively.

'Unprecedented': White House moves to control science funding worry researchers
NIH spent more than $35 billion in 2023 fiscal year on nearly 50,000 grants to more than 300,000 researchers at more than 2,500 universities, medical schools, and other research institutions in the U.S., the agency says. This includes $9 billion for indirect costs.

The new policy, which goes into effect Monday, is being condemned by many researchers.

"This is a surefire way to cripple lifesaving research and innovation," Matt Owens, president of the Council on Government Relations, an association of research universities and academic medical centers, said in a statement. "Reimbursement of facilities and administrative expenditures are part and parcel of the total costs of conducting world class research."

Owens says his organization is "carefully reviewing this policy change as it contradicts current law and policy."

"America's competitors will relish this self-inflicted wound," Owens says. "We urge NIH leaders to rescind this dangerous policy before its harms are felt by Americans."

Those sentiments were echoed by other medical researchers.

"We're all reeling," Dr. George Daley, the dean of the Harvard Medical School, wrote NPR in an email. "This would decimate medical research."

The announcement comes as many researchers are already anxious because of other steps the new administration has taken, including restricting communication and travel by the NIH and other federal health agencies and freezing some research grants.

Here is a piece from that Liberal Rag The Wall Street Journal.. /sarcasm
This is piece telling of the anxiety and economic fear Conservatives feel given the Wall Street Journal wrote it.
Seems like a purposeful choice to give Trump a message.

The Mood of the American Consumer is Souring
Tariff threats, market turbulence causing jitters early in Trump’s second term

The Trump bump in consumer confidence is already over.

Tariff threats, stock market swings and rapidly reversing executive orders are causing Americans across the political spectrum to feel considerably more pessimistic about the economy than they did before President Trump took office.

Consumer sentiment fell about 5% in the University of Michigan’s preliminary February survey of consumers to its lowest reading since July 2024. Expectations of inflation in the year ahead jumped from 3.3% in January to 4.3%, the second month in a row of large increases and highest reading since November 2023.

“It’s very rare to see a full percentage point jump in inflation expectations,” said Joanne Hsu, who oversees the survey. Republicans have come off a postelection surge in confidence, she said, and Democrats and Independents also seem to believe that economic conditions have deteriorated since last month.
...

“I don’t like the turbulence. I don’t like the chaos in the market,” said Paul Bisson, a 58-year-old, who writes proposals for a flight safety company and co-owns a dog daycare in San Antonio. Bisson voted for Trump, but feels “his policies have led to that chaos.

Moving on from cars.

I meant to address this last night but I fell asleep

The consumer financial protection agency is not an agency that’s involved in wasteful govt spending. I know you try so hard to twist yourself into weird shapes to defend the indefensible.

But This particular agency protects the common man from financial abuse at the hands of mega corporations and banking institutions. It was formed after the big economic recession where people lost everything after the banks went belly up. You would know this if you read the information I posted earlier instead of rushing to respond.

This is not one of those agencies where anyone should rejoice if they no longer exist. You’re fixing your mouth to say he’s only looking at them meanwhile he has tweeted himself that he wants to destroy them. He literally typed RIP to them on his tweeter. Like it’s a sick joke or something.

You must not have any financial stake in America for this to be good news to you. The only kind of person who hates the financial protection bureau is the kind of person who’s in a position to take advantage of others and doesn’t want to be investigated or held to account for it (A person like an Elon) .

Is there a line he’ll cross that will eventually become too much for you guys? Or are you going to blindly support him as he steers the country to the grave? Because this is insane that an everyday person is cheering on a megalomaniac who’s trying to kill the agency that protects them financial ruin. I’ve never encountered this level of mind control in my life
Anything from Pocahontas Elizabeth Warren is not good for the economy.
The bureau protects consumers by fining any company .
What does it do with the money
Most of it goes to fund leftwing causes and political PACs.
That's all I know about it Good intentions creating it . Pocahontas wanted it's top executive to be independent, the president could not fire him/her Case went to SCOTUS, Pocahontas lost.
With transparency a lot of it's biases and corruption will be revealed.
You can spare us the importance of this body .
Hopefully in days it's revealed it is just another democrat slush fund
I'm willing to bet on this..

White liberals push their agenda of domination by shutting down their critics.

it was the same case with the BBC story

like i said before - all these 'exposes' are noise for the barely literate. the court of public opinion.

the Doge team are computer programmers barely out of school. they are inexperienced. they are mid twenties

this is a feature not a bug

Elon wants impressionable inexperienced zealots who will take instructions without question. kids who will follow instructions without question because they have complete faith in the dear leader.

you will note there are no reports of actual supervisors

most importantly, as i have seen noted elsewhere - if you want to uncover fraud, you get actual experienced forensic accountants, not wet behind the ears computer programmers

the irony is some of those cheering for this actually know this is all BS because they actually have an audit background.

is this how audits are run in professional organisations?

incidentally, this is also how Sanusi was embarrassed as CBN governor when conducting an investigation and announcing figures that had to be amended.

this is the type of shit we get from EFCC - the court of public opinion - going around half cocked announcing results of barely started investigations

Federal Employee Says They Had to 'Justify Their Existence' to DOGE 'College Freshers' in '15-Minute' Interviews

The unnamed federal employees said he was "nervous of retaliation" before relaying his agency's experience with Musk and DOGE employees during a town hall event in Virginia.

"In the last week, we had Elon Musk in our building and after he visited the building, he called for a 50% cut to the entire agency," the man stated. "My colleagues are getting 15-minute one-on-one check ins with 19-, 20- and 21-year-old college graduates, asking to justify their existence."

He continued by saying supervisors, all of whom were ordered to withhold information from employees, must now fill out justification forms for staff members. The bottom 30% of performers will be laid off.
this is what Musk is unleashing on the federal government - literal children with no work experience given the duty of evaluating senior employees.

even worse from what is coming out - the team are a bunch of racist, edgelord - its just a joke bro trolls
