I like anyone who reasons just as you do. I'm glad we are gradually waking up to the reality of the scam in religion
Brother, whilst I agree with you in some truth, I beg to differ that Christianity is a scam. Don't label what you did not manufacture.

I'm not surprised at your comment. When Jesus preached on the earth, many despise his teaching. They accuse him of being in league with the devil (Matthew 12:27). And concerning the apostles, they says, "These that have turned the world upside down are come here also" (Acts 17:6).

I have been criticize by expert. You have only joined the number of them.
I asked you a question. Answer it and stop sounding like a philosopher.
I am a Christian and I bet you a better one than you may assume. Worshipping at the St. Peter’s of Basilica does not make anyone a better catholic. Na mumu mindset be that.

Thank God you're better than me. For I'm still leaning the ways of Christ because the Bible says, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day" (Prover 4:18). Also, the Bible says, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

You see, I cannot claim to be better than you because I'm still learning to become as he (Christ) is.

As for your question, I replied you that I have been criticized by expert.

And attending Mass at St Peter's Basilica is good if you could afford it. Yet, that has nothing to add to your walk with God.

well, we all are entitled to our opinion, I see religion as a mere tool for control from the colonial masters and nothing holy about the so called holy book. Religion has done nothing to help us as Africans

Of course you're entitled to your opinion. But let your opinion line up with God's. Otherwise you will see yourself fighting against your maker. In the book of Isaiah, the Bible says,

Isaiah 45:9
[9]Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Caution! Caution!! It is a curse to strive against God. The Lord Jesus told Paul when he was persecuting the church saying, "You can't kick against the prick." Christianity is the prick. And when you kick against it, you get hurt.
Therefore, Let your opinion line up with God's. And concerning the church, the Holy Ghost spoke through Paul saying, "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church" (Ephesians 1:22). So the church is Jesus' body, of his flesh and bone.

I wouldn't know whether u were/are a member of winners and when u joined.
I was there before they announced that canaanland will be built. I was there when it was being built, partook in the labour offering when it was being built and was there after it was built.

Initially they maintained the 1st (7am) Sunday service in Raji oba and the next 3 services in canaanland.
After some time, the 1st service (in Raji oba) was cancelled altogether and all the 4 services were taken to canaanland. So much so for the 'choice'.
cool
ocnovakmichael:
Brother, I will speak to the contrary. Attending service in Canaan Land is not being brainwashed. It's a matter of choice. You see, the paralytic borne of four had to be carried from wherever he was to the place where Jesus was teaching in order to receive his healing (Mark 2:3-7).

Many are not knowledgeable as you and I to know that the corporate anointing resides in the local assemblies also. Yet it's still a matter of choice, to attend service in Canaan Land or in your local assembly.

Thank God you're a pioneer member of Living Faith Church. I congratulate you sir

However, are you saying all the local assemblies having service on Sunday are in error? That the Bishop did not give the go-ahead to conduct service in these assemblies?

What is your point? Do you expect all and sundry to attend service at Canaan Land on Sunday? Have you not heard or read where Bishop said the same corporate anointing in Canaan Land is prevalent in all local assemblies. And as a matter of fact the Bible corroborate this when it says,

1 Samuel 30:23-24
[23]Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.
[24]For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.

David by the Spirit declares that the spoil of war, that is, the blessings and encounters in this context, will be the same for those that go down to battle and those that tarrieth by the stuff: they both shall part alike.

Brother, Just take a minute and think about it. Winners that attend service in their local assemblies, do you think they don't have the longing to travel down to Canaan Land? It could be that they're not bouyant in terms of funds, it could be that some of them women are heavily pregnant, it could be that many are old and as such cannot struggle to catch a bus. There are myriads of reasons. Yet you think it is not wise to attend service in one's local assembly.

Take a minute and think 🤔

My point:
In d previous post you laid the premise of canaanland attendees on 'choice' and I made it clear that not until of recent, those who attended canaanland on Sunday had no choice as there weren't any local assemblies in Lagos. It is of recent that we now have Sunday services 'decentralized'.

I understand your point brother. But my comment takes into consideration the present orientation of services in Living Faith Church. We can't be speaking from retrospect.

You're right in your submission anyway. Yet, it is still the prerogative of every Winner to attend service in Living faith church, Canaan Land or local assembly notwithstanding.

In as much as I would have loved to engage in a logical debate with you. However, the moment I realised that bible is the only source of knowledge you want us to refer to as our guide, I realise it's not worth it. I don't reckon with or refer to the bible for any purpose. I see it as a control manual and not a dependable document for logical task.

What is your source of truth? Don't back down on this. Let me know where your anchor of truth is gotten.
You see, I get it when people say the Bible is a control manual. What book on earth is not a control manual? Any intellectual exercise that expands the mind through philosophy, or doctrine, or teaching, or practice or experimentation is a control manual. I am a student of science, and in chemistry it is said that water is a constituent of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. But the question is: are those two elements the final truth about the composition make up of water? No. But the notion has control many minds for centuries.

Any fool can get truth from any source provided he back substantiate it through empirical analysis. But what exactly is the standard of truth? No ideology, notion or philosophy ever put together have been able to match the Bible interns of truth, prediction, empirical fact, archeology fact, or historic fact.

The Bible says fools say there is no God. Brother don't be a fool: because like a said earlier, you can't kick against the prick.

like I said earlier that the "colonial master agenda" manual is a No No for me..I don't reckon with it. It's a dangerous book! I don't wish it for my enemy.

Brother, the Bible is more than just a book. It's the word of God. The book is alive. Not some dead doctrine or religious concoction. The word of God is Jesus himself.

I'd suggest you get acquainted with God through the word: because the word can speak with you.

Proverbs 6:20-22
[20]My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
[21]Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
[22]When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

Notice verse 22 says, it (the word) shall talk with the. You see, there's a great deal of difference between talking to you and talking with you.

The books of other religions of the word talk to their adherents, but the Bible, the word of God, talks with you. Talking to you is receiving a command on what and what to do, observe, or practice: being at the receiving end. But talking with you entails a mutual conversation with a friend. This is why it is only in the Bible you can get statement like, "Come now, let us reason together" (Isaiah 1:18).

The Bible is not a religious book to control the human race. It's a book to guide man to reclaim his lost glory.

If they preach prosperity in churches, that's because our God is a God of prosperity. As a matter of fact, the street of heaven is littered with Gold. Now let me ask you, if your own biological father is a wealthy man and also vast in charity works, well known all over the world: would you or would you not be proud to talk about his prosperity and how he helps people in the community?
you are a little far from reality of the gospel and you csn only gdt it right when you fix your mind on God and not on congregation

Ever8090:

Brother, I said if the churches are preaching prosperity that's because our God is a God of prosperity. Or is our God a God of poverty and sickness and death? The later are the curse of the Law. And the Bible says in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law that we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Now what is this promise of the Spirit? This is the same promise God made to Abraham and to his seed, which is Christ: that in blessing I will will bless thee; and in the shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.

Now if I preach salvation, this means God is able to save, isn't he? (Roman 10:9) If I preach healing, this means our God is the healer, isn't he? (Exodus 15:26) If I preach love, this means our God is a God of love, isn't he? (1 John 4:7-9)
Now how come when I preach prosperity, you say I'm far from the truth. Is our God a God of lack and poverty? The psalmist says, the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof

Psalms 24:1
[1](A Psalm of David.) The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

How come the church is hated when you're only asserting what is written?
