addendum to OP to give context clues on possible reason for the abrupt stop of interview waiver program and what to expect by the end of next month.

The interview waiver removal falls under one of the executive orders signed back in January titled “Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats" . Reading similar article from cato institute gives February as a timeline for Secretary of state=>Department of state to have put the order to effect. Same as it was done back in 2018-19.
