Amina Muhammad Sanusi, the daughter of the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi III and Captain Muhammad Mahi Maaji are both set to tie the nuptial knot on February 14. The pre- wedding festivities for the Maajis and Sanusi have begun with the Kamu event. Kamu is the final moment between the bride and her friends . For a christian southerner to see a fulani girl to marry, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. I wonder why we have countless number of Fulani men who are married to southern women; but for southern men to marry Fulani women, or even finding one who will agree to marry southern men, you go old! In my Indian friend's voice, "why like that?" Me, as a southern Christian, I will be happy to get betrothed to a fulani babe. |
