Release me from my curse visit wey no fit work. These thieves wrecked our country and built private universities, farms and libraries for themselves while selling off Nigeria to their friends.
Dubai metro was built around 2011 and cost less than $8billion dollars. It has been generating more than half a billion USD yearly and will continue to. OBJ was busy saving money using the Obi model in those years. $16 billion swallowed up in electricity scam gate.

Dubai mall was built in 2008 and cost $20billion. It has been generating over a billion dollars in revenue every year. It attracts 750,000 visitors every week. OBJ did not have such vision with excess crude. He never thought the millions of Nigerians would need infrastructure. When countries were building, he and his son GEj literally slept and stole, bulilding things for themselves and amassing wealth. Today, they want to rescue Nigeria. Isn't God merciful?
You got it, they are all the same. I feel ashamed seeing the so called youths are taken side with their oppressors

Very apt. The money they claim to be saving that will be worth less of its value in years to come. i'm not even against saving, but you can't claim to be saving at the detriment of critical development and infrastructure. They claimed to have EXCESS when we were infrastructurally naked.

Nobody after Awolowo's, Azikwe and co had been a visionary. All are greedy, selfish and lack the understanding of the dynamics of democracy in respect to Nigeria.
How do the citizens allow such greedy, selfish people who lack understanding of the dynamics of democracy to emerge from among them into leadership positions?

Any clue about resolving this conundrum huh

The money is losing value relative to income growth precisely because of phantom infrastructure used to loot rather than employing and paying workers to provide services and utilities to create the environment for private businesses to flourish.

Why has Lagos remained a glorified ghetto exporting its people to Britain, Canada, America etc despite Tinubu's 25 years of infrastructure master plan?
What is missing huh

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

If the refineries are working, why has he failed to crash the price of petrol as promised more than two years ago, despite hitting the ground running 21 months ago?

How many promises has Trump failed to achieve in just one month in government? Does that make Trump a more credible person than Tinubu huh

Deltafirstson:
Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.

In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.

However, pump price of fuel hit N537 per litre days after Tinubu ended subsidy.

On Tuesday, the price climbed further to N617, a development that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) attributed to “market forces”.

Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.

Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.

At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.

However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, a Fuji musician who performed at the rally, interrupted the president’s speech with chants as the crowd cheered.

On the campaign podium with the president were Vice-President Kashim Shettima; Pa Bisi Akande, interim National Chairman of the APC; Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President; Senator Gbenga Daniel; among other bigwigs of the ruling party.

Tinubu went further to say Nigerians would defy the acute fuel scarcity at the time and trek to cast their votes.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200/N500 per litre. Go and relax, we will crash the prices,” he had said.

Improvish your people and watch how they scramble for crumbs, beg for your mercy and reverend you. A hungry man will forget his ambition and be more interested in where his next meal will come from, provided he has shelter and cloth.

That's what the leaders have been doing over the years. They come back every four years to deceive the people during campign and distribute cash and food worth less than $15 to the people, and they all hail and worship them for the next 4 years. Rinse and repeat. It's a model. A working model in Africa.

No leader can be perfect, even the ones in Europe, Asia and America but one thing that the leaders we have now lack is patriotism unlike back then. And the lack of patriotism has been embedded in an average citizen in Nigeria.

you cant be patriotic about what you dont believe in, the nigeria today have no business being together they knew it as pioneers but for their own selfish satisfaction they pushed for an independent that was beneficial to their ego. this country was never suppose to be together

Nigeria would do great with all the tribes and ethnicity together. However, if it's to still do it regionally like Awolowo did it, it would be frat also. The issue is not about the system of government, it's the people governing. South West would have never benefitted or even have solid development in many areas during Awolowo's but the man was patriotic and I dedicated to his people.

It's just like parenting. You can't be lackadaisical, selfish and deadbeat and expect love from your kids or even expect them to be something to be proud of.

You're right technically but however, it's beyond that. If you have a bad leader even if he speaks your language, that becomes irrelevant. A right leader is more important than where he's from.

the country is gone, it cant even be salvaged again, the right thing to do in 1960 was to split the cluster mess we have now. if that was done then we wont be where we are now. now splitting is not even the option because the whole country is now greedy.

Well, you may be right but not being divided was to our advantage because we were a strong country. Health was good, education, transport etc.

The problem is not the diversity but the leaders!
