Stopped using mtn after I discovered my 2G barely lasts for 2 days. Switched to glo and I’ve been enjoying it ever since.

Improve your network too this switching airplane mode on and off is too much😐
So this switching on and off airplane mode isn't localized to my area? It's so annoying.

Timing and pacing is everything even if you must force down your so called reforms. This Government is simply tone deaf and I fear they are dead set on milking us to death and simply will not stop. Recently they hiked port charges and that too will have a ripple effect on the prices of goods in the market again. When will they even slow down?

I noticed recently how swift my monthly data subscribtion disappears between 3- 4 days. I suspected it was some settings on my new phone but after enough tweaks, nothing changed. I think I'll try your suggestions. I hope Glo won't follow same path soon cos Airtel sef don increase.

Government of Yorubas.

Yorubas elected a disastrous disaster and a failed failure.

Las Las all of them are tasting the shege but their foolishness won't let them apologize for their unfortunate decisions.
Re: MTN’s New Data Plan Prices by Badassniggga(m): 6:12am On Feb 12, 2025
Nonsense.

I won't be mad if they increased price by 50% but 400% increase in price is just insane and will chase majority away. Shey na me wey dey manage 15gb for 2k go continue with same 15GB for 6k? LoL. Make I run go my 2GB for 5H.

Talking sh!.t as usual, u live in an unfortunate area not to have electricity for 4 days when others are not aware when light goes off or return because of time gap in between off and on.
So the govt is operating the DisCos?
The companies are posting huge profits year in year out and diesel has been high for some years now, are you sure you know anything at all?
I feel like crying when I see a matured man defending the useless government, is it that you people are brainwashed or chooses to be stupid? What actually is wrong with Yoruba people, I thought that the said yorubas went to school? And allowed tinubu who didn't go to school to use them. Just take your time and read again what you wrote then comprehend

Otepu... The telecos have been posting billions as profit after tax year in year out, so what are you now saying?
Can you be more specific about which telecom company posted a profit and in which financial year? That I know, MTN has been reporting losses like many other big companies.
Re: MTN’s New Data Plan Prices by AerialMapper: 6:45am On Feb 12, 2025
Funny thing is Airtel will still be very useless even with the increased tariff, 9 mobile will still have no network and Glo.. Well Glo will keep doing what they do best.

Actually he is right
The power situation here is a huge joke
He was even being modest by saying 4 days
Have you seen the news of a teaching hospital not having power for 100 days?
You people keep shouting they don't do the same in SA and other countries forgetting that there is stable power there
Power drives industrialization
If you are stupid with it well you remain behind the world
Has all this prevented MTN from and the other telcos from making billions in profit?

Blame your useless government for international companies hiking prices. How can they make profit with the high price of diesel to power generators 24/7? Sometimes NEPA stupidly withholds electricity for four days. The mast in my area runs off its generator for those four days.
You seem to be one of those paid by the Telcos to write such with much audacity.
You are calling the Nigerian government useless, please can you tell me which of the Telcos is not?

while disagree with his submission and many others who refuse to reason and continue to justify bad leadership, yet i will point out you are also very wrong in calling out an entire tribe.

its same offense of not thinking deeply you are accusing him of. Stop all these generalizations.

Hilarious!

These criminals declare BILLIONS in profit EVERY YEAR.

They could invest BILLIONS in improving their services and infrastructure and still have BILLIONS left as profit.

The HIKE is driven by nothing but GREED.

And the people approved the hike did so because MOST of them have shares in these Telcos.

So whatever the companies FLEECE from Nigerians will end up in their pockets as DIVIDENDS.

MADNESS!
If we are to be real the telecom industry has been the most understanding.
They have been the only industry that hasn't increased chargers since the subsidy removal, yet they have increased salaries of their staff.
When every item increased by more than a 100% you didn't complain about the telcoms not adding a naira.
If we are to be truthful you are the greedy one here.
Telecom companies don't use power from the national grid, they run all mast on diesel under contracts with companies like IHS. Meanwhile industries that don't use as much diesel have all increased by more than a 100%

They should have increase it 100%. Those useless lazy people who are always on live everytime on tiktok doing rubbish, let's see how they will cope
You seem to forget how things work. People will find a way around it, just that las las everyone will bear the brunt. The olosho will increase fare, the PSO operator will increase charges, everyone. You think they will stop using the internet? No way! The stuff you buy from those will simply become costlier, courtesy MTN and NNPC.

There is something called return on Capital and Return on Equity.

To you it may seem like MTN made profit of N50bln, why cant they spend N10bln out of it and be left with a profit of N40bln. But if the Capital invested in the business so far is N1trln, a N50bln profit is actually a return of 5%! In an a economy where inflation is 30% and FGN Bonds are returning 20% and even FGN Dollar bonds are returning 9%!?

So clearly a 5% return would be insufficient. So its not just about the absolute numbers, which may seem big to you!!

Why Nigerians should learn Economics, Business Studies, Accounting very well. Many did these courses in 100l and 200l in Uni, yet they only read to pass, they know basically nothing.

Don't mind him. Who did he complain to when bread went from N700 to N1800? When petrol went from N190 to N970? When diesel went from N250 to N1200? When pumping tire went from N200 to N500 per tyre?
