A diploma journalism student of the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Faith Aluku Adeshola, lost her life on Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run truck driver.

According to eyewitnesses, Faith was on her way to school on a motorcycle when the truck collided with them, leading to her death on the spot.

Both the truck driver and the motorcycle rider have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

Her body has been deposited at the morgue of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.

It was further gathered that Faith was still in the process of completing her registration at the time of her tragic death.

Meanwhile, President of the institution’s Students’ Union Government, SUG, Comrade Haruna Umar has urged students to remain calm, assuring them that the polytechnic’s management and security agencies were working to ensure justice for the deceased.

Umar also called on the Polytechnic’s management and the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, to install speed bumps around the institution’s perimeter to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Think about"Self Preservation" if you expect the world to be fair with you because you are fair with them, it's like expecting a lion not to eat you because you don't eat lion. Same as preserving the Nature, thinking that nature will preserve you cos you're nice to her, disaster might come too anytime. They're determined to over run you down. If you escape one, you might not escape the second phase. What a Tribulation!

This is why I'm always careful while on the road. I almost got crushed once by a trailer that was actually running one way!
It missed me by about 5cm! Still scary to this day.

It was hit and run but it ended with chase and caught.

If the person killed was a Muslim and the driver was a Christian, the whole of Bauchi would have been on fire now.
