Mujtahida:How? A lot of teams in England have adopted the philosophies of the system. Football has changed for ever. Joyfully your wish can't come true. |

TheGoodJoe:This life comes in cycles, no change lasts forever, we will always recycle systems and ideas. Even Guardiola no longer play the tikitaka he played in his Barcelona days and early Man City years.. He now plays route one football sometimes just to get over the line. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 7:19pm On Feb 13, 2025 |
Hanibal:Definitely, he can't play the same pattern as he did at Barca because of different players and change of style. The pressing system by teams is at a higher intensity as it was in the past. Also, teams have learnt to play and defend the against the system. So it can never be the same. What is important is that most teams adopted different areas of the system. So no one can say something that is being adopted and adapted to is dying. It is actually growing. |

There's a Nigerian defender Stephen Eze playing for Jamshedpur. Since the league doesn't matter, I think he deserves à call up too. |

TheGoodJoe:Baba if something has to be "modified and adapted" before it can work, it means the original version is no longer effective a system that is no longer effective is at best "dying" of not dead you admit that the man who made it popular in the modern era has even had to "adapt".. , no one is arguing Guardiola's brilliance, but you see that tikitaka. E don cast! tikitaka. E don cast! |

Samueltemi337:there is nothing wow or enticing about Murphy. Not from his numbers and definitely not from his style of play. He is a 29 year old who is yet to get a call up from any country for a reason. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:26pm On Feb 13, 2025 |
Hanibal: I don't know how you say Tiki Taka has casted. High possession football is adapted but the players are different. Give Guardiola Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta and Messi today and you will see the same level of brilliance. You can't get the same with De Bruyne, Kovacic and Bernardo Silva. It is not the same players. The system is still there but adapted to meet players. The way Guardiola played tiki taka is different from how Tito played it. Also different from how Tata Martino played it. Does not change the principles. As long as the principles are played, you can't say the system is dead when it is fully around. I watch West Ham, Everton, Bouremouth, Newcastle, Leeds, Swansea, etc and I see the principles. Yet you want to believe the system is dead. |

Hanibal:When you here the Pep effect or Pep changed football. What does it mean to you? Don't you know it is about the wide spread acceptance of his system and many teams adapting to it? So how is such a system dying in you guys eyes? Finito https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs0qJtrj7Hk&t=87s |
