How would a rational person say Trump used that position to enrich himself?

How? I will tell you.


To first understand anything at all, you must answer the question, why would anyone at all deliberately publicly announce an increase in their net worth by a factor of over 100% (Trump $9bn, Forbes $4bn)?

The answer lies in that person's attitude to money. Simple. Most times, such a person seeks aggrandisement of some nature. To deny this is to continue with dishonestly in this debate.

In January 2021, The Supreme Court struck two cases (Trump v. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington........ and Trump v. District of Columbia) - from the US Courts of Appeal 2nd and 4th Circuits respectively, on the grounds that cases were moot, seeing as DJT was no longer President. SCOTUS did not engage the actual technicalities of the cases themselves.

The actual contents of the case are related to how Donald broke the emolument provisions of the constitution.

Trump as P45, charged the Secret Service, many times, over 400% room rate at the Trump properties. This is no conspiracy. Receipts of these purchases were made available at the request over a FOI act, as well as his accountants, Mazars, releasing documents under a subpoena.

In many instances, Trump was charging the government for his own stay at his own properties, and listen to this, ....... even for days when he was not at the properties.

But you are asking me .....How would a rational person say Trump used that position to enrich himself?

The actual question should be, how can a rational person not?

As a matter of fact, the extent of the grift was and probably will never be wholly known because,

1. Republicans regained control of the House and discontinued all subpoenas, and further disclosures of documents.....
2. Mazars stonewalled - releasing only 20% of requested docs till date
3. Secret Service never released the total number of rooms acquired at each Trump property, on each visit through P45 tenure, due to such data being classified. Naturally.

Therefore till date, we don't know the total amount Trump stole from his own government. The estimation from the few docs obtained via FOI act and subpoena already put this at millions.

But Eric Trump said the SS always stayed for free. A big lie that DJT himself never sought to correct.

In other cases, P45 was being sued for received payments to his companies from different countries totalling about $8m from the limited documents obtained. The total amounts are assumed to higher but because of the same reasons above, further docs could not be obtained.

We also had Republicans all running to book rooms at Mar a lago and other properties of his during this first tenure.

I cannot list the extent of clear cases of fraud due to brevity.


But you are asking me .....How would a rational person say Trump used that position to enrich himself?

To bring this back home to the actual topic ......how can you then in good faith, knowing what I know, continue to argue those points? You can see that this is just a fraudulent guy from head to toe. How can you take for gospel anything he says about money?

You say, he didn't receive salary for 4 years. But the constitution requires that he gets paid by the Treasury. He got paid. FACTS! He then announced through the White House that he gave "gifts" to certain agencies. But did those agencies receive those payments? There is no documentation ever shown to prove this fact.

Matter of fact, for the last one year of his presidency he stopped announcing any gifts. But remember your own words, "he didn't receive a single penny". That is a flat out lie. By the guy who said it, and all the people who parrot the same point. It's just not true.

Furthermore, this whole I didn't receive $400k salary thing, was a major distraction from the major grifts that were happening. Dude was acting in public like he gave all his 400k away, but stealing way more money from taxpayers and his own government in hotel room rates.



And to Forbes.....

How can Forbes accurately determine all Trump really made during his Presidency when all earnings and deals were shrouded in secrecy? His accountants, Mazars, refused to share documents, and he refused to release Tax returns for his entire Presidency.

Most of Trump's wealth at the time was from Real Estate and everyone's real estate devalued in 2021 due to COVID, and so, his publicly known were marked down.

This is not to say that Trump did not profit from his Presidency, did not try to, or that Forbes lied. See it as the same way Forbes cannot put Putin on the top 10 wealthiest Billionaires, even though most Russians see Putin this way. If it's not official, Forbes cannot report it. This does not mean it doesn't exist.



And that is why I tell you it all comes down to why he lied about his valuation in the first place. If a man will deliberately up his valuation by over 100% for a certain purpose, he can hide his actual valuation for another purpose!

Meanwhile, my original point on the topic was that it is all about the money. If he did all that in his first term, what would he do, now that he has full control of the government?
