I stopped teaching last December.

I used to teach maths in ph.

I was the only teacher who flogged in that school.

The other teachers were too scared to flog cos of parents and school management.

Me, I did not care o.

Parents came many times to warn me and cause a scene in school.

The school management didn't know what to do with me. They contemplated laying me off a couple of times, but they couldn't.


They saw the work I did with all the pupils. Even the ones that were seen as dull before I came.

I used to flog for the following reasons.
1. Multiplication table. From 2 times to 20 times. Was compulsory every morning. If you could not recite it, you were dead.
2. Not doing home work. This one is a very capital offence.
3. Playing when I'm teaching . Spe

As I speak to you, the management have doubled my salary cos parents have threatened to withdraw their kids if I am no longer teaching there.

If you paid school fees for your kids, just know that part of what you paid for is their flogging.

Let us not adopt that western propaganda.

I am against abuse, but African children should be disciplined with the cane.

I believe you read the part where he said he's a resident of Port Harcourt? How did U.S.A become a subject under discourse?

Secondly, if you know anything about education, you'll know how much our government frowns at corporal punishment. Several teachers have landed in prison because of it.

Thirdly, on a faceless forum, don't always assume the person you're quoting is as naive as you are. I was a teacher in Lekki schools for many years. I once taught Sen. Buruji Kashamu's son. Imagine how lengthy my prison sentence would have been if I had flogged him like that caveman was boasting of.

Secondly, the law is pretty clear on flogging. Whether U.S.A permits it or not is not a subject of discourse in Nigeria. The day you'll get arrested, you'll remember someone here warned you.

I will not raise failed kids mate, I know my kids and can vouch for them. All I said was, dont whip my kids, they are not animals, I dont and would not allow a deranged sociopath venting his anger on an innocent child.
