Not shocking. I’ve heard of Brazil producing oil since 2015. Why didn’t they join sooner? Let’s see if the oil curse is true. |

malali:The problem is 1. Everyone is discovering oil. OPEC cuts no longer mean anything like they used to. 2. Clean energy is getting better. 3.The threat of nuclear fusion in the future. |

Contrarian2027:Do you know the difference between ideologically and realistically. I have always believed the push for clean Energy is because USA wants to sell EV (Tesla) to the world. The density of car waste we have outside USA,EU,China is no cause for alarm We don't even have enough cars in Africa, the minute Tinubu removed subsidy on Petrol our CO2 problem disappeared with subsidy. OPEC will always regulate oil especially Saudi. Because in Saudi, it costs $10 to explore and collect a barrel of oil from the ground. In Nigeria it costs $30-$40 due to insecurities and settling the likes of Tompolo. In USA it costs about $30 as there is a lot of horizontal fracking. If Saudi floods the market with cheap oil......All the countries producing oil for $30 or more stands the risk of being forced out of business. Thats why USA is kowtowing to the saudi governement. The Cheapest oil can only be found in Saudi. For the past 100 years. To answer your question. Its not just about discovering oil. There is oil everywhere. But what is the cost of extracting 1 barrel on the average. I think if oil gets cheaper, the number of people using it will increase,Half of Africa will use Generators. Nuclear fusion ....we still haven't mastered electricity after 200 years !!! Nuclear fusion is not a threat. Oil is not going anywhere even in 500 years. |
