In the latest episode of Senate drama, social media influencer Jack joins other Nigerians who have criticised Senator Natasha Uduaghan of Kogi Central for her disruptive antics. According to the post, whenever she throws a tantrum in the chamber, she swiftly rushes to the media, presenting herself as the victim.

The controversy centres on clear Senate rules. Under Order 6, every senator is meant to remain in their designated seat during debates—a rule intended to ensure proceedings are smooth and orderly. However, following recent party defections that caused a reshuffle of seating arrangements, a reallocation of seats was necessary—a move most senators accepted without protest.

The female senator refused and attempted to justify her actions by referencing a different order, exacerbating the situation.

Critics argue that allowing emotions to dictate decisions will not aid progress. “Why enter the Senate and start shouting names?” the post inquires, suggesting that her behaviour is not an act of bold defiance but merely stirring up unnecessary drama.

This is not the first instance in which her actions have raised eyebrows. Adding to the wave of criticism, the South-South Women Congress has condemned what it labelled as the “unruly and disrespectful behaviour” of Senator Natasha. In a strong statement issued from Warri, the group’s leader, Mrs. Roli Akpomedaye, urged the senator to apologise or face sanctions. She emphasised that adherence to the Senate’s rules is non-negotiable, asserting that no lawmaker is above the law.

I can understand why Yahaya Bello excavated the road to her senatorial zone now. He wanted to save Nigerians from the unfortunate antics of this woman.

That doesn't take away the fact that Akpabio is as useless as the k in his name. This senate has no legacies.

That said, on what grounds did Berekete radio show call the Senate President while on air? That is a gross violation of protocol. I may not support Akpabio but he holds that office in trust for Nigerians and that office should not be disrespected by any means.

Akpabio is a big fool... His previous utterances has shown him as a man with some mental stupidity installed in his brain.... Even without knowing what happened, it's obvious he is the real issue....

After seeing the video exchange, it was clear that Mrs Natasha Uduaghan was at fault.

They re-allocated her seat based on defections from LP and PDP. Why couldn't she just obey the re-allocation?

The rules were read, and she was told she couldn't be recognized where she sat.

The part Akpabio messed up was instructing the sergeant at arms to throw her out. He had no right to do that. Then began the accusations that Akpabio had been trying to silence her and she'd be a voice of the Nigerian women. Nigerian women do not conduct themselves like classless people.

Both Akpabio and Natasha messed up.

A general advise to the women in the senate. We have heard cases of some of you slapping colleagues, threatening ministers and acting as if you are over-compensating as though you deserve to be there. You do not need all these. Focus on the job and conduct yourselves with maturity. How come we do not hear of such controversies in the lower chamber? The woman who fought during Patricia Etteh's time: what ever became of her?

We were here when a woman almost fraudulently got herself announced as the winner of an election. Your presence in politics should be a breath of fresh air as women of yore: Queen Amina of Zaria, Moremi, Margaret Ekpo, Dora Akunyili, and so many others who distinguished themselves.

As for Akpabio, it is time you start conducting yourself decently around women. As Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Joy Nunieh said in an interview with Arise News that she deposited a dirty slap on your cheek when you made passes at her. They also accused you of being around the girl who did a cookathon. Now Natasha is making silly comments that would make them beam a searchlight on you. Perhaps, have like three matured senators who you can lean on to guide you when matters like this come up. The best thing could have been to ignore Natasha. That way, she'd lose credibility to get sympathy.

Make una apologize and move on, since the men refuse to be the bigger person.
