I read Nzeogu and Why we struck over two decades ago but I will never read IBB's book for personal reason and most of my set will never read his book also.

IBB tried to avoid the truth by misrepresentation. The coup was not called IBO Coup by some northern military clique because of the planners but because of those executed. The key people in the IBO land that were supposed to be executed escaped. That was the suspicion.

About 4 years ago they now manufactured imaginary names of IBOs that were killed. Those who were active in the military that time know all those imaginary names are coming out for political purposes.

From my perspective, I don't see a reason why an old man without an ambition should lie.

Some things may not be accurate, they may be from what he heard or believed to be true. this book is a confession and I don't believe a deliberate lie will be included.

Ademoyega wrote his book over 15 years after the coup. He knew and worked with his colleagues. He knew who and who started it and planned it. He knew there was no Igbo coup and no forewarning.
