If those votes had gone to the pdp, atiku would be president right now.

Elrufai would love to have those votes, but he knows obi has the region on lock, which is why he made an appeal to the SS.

As it stands, no arrangement or alliance can give Igbos the presidency in 2027. Atiku and El-Rufai are not even looking towards SE in their alliance discussion. They want an alliance with South south. That should tell you SE has no bargaining chips as far as 2027 is concerned. Peter Obi will contest and clear the South East which will place him in third position again.


With the body language of South South leaders and governors, we can all see they are more disposed to supporting Tinubu than forming an anti-south alliance with Atiku. So, Tinubu still hold the ace as far as 2027 is concerned. North central is already a done deal and with northern Christians also joining the president’s train, it’s all over.
