Why do y'all never acknowledge Giassperini role in the improvement of Lookman?

Why are most y'all shallow?
Respect people's opinions. You can point out that people should also consider that Gasperini could have played a role in Lookman's improvement without calling people shallow.

Either way, I agree with your point.

So you don't know Fred Onyedimma is 8 balon d'or from becoming the GOAT
ChrisKels:
And this is coming from someone that once rated Fred Onyedimma ahead of same Lookman?

While Chukwueze plays for AC Milan to justify the one time high rating, where does Fred Onyedimma play? Wycombe Wanderers 😂

See the nonsense Jamie Carragher said about Afcon on Sky? Micah corrected him but he maintained his myopic mindset of AFCON. Pls spare me any nonsense analysis. He's not justified with his stance. That's foolishness there.

Na Motsepe i blame sha. His tenure is annoying and terrible when it comes to scheduling tournaments.
If not for the fact that his statement is stepping on the sensitivities of black people, what he said is not far from the truth. I appreciate how far we've come, but you cannot say that AFCON is equal to Euros. We are not there yet. If he said the same thing about CONCACAF nobody will argue with it.

If I tell you that the Belgian League is as big as the EPL would you agree?

i don't agree with his point, Lookman was improving with age and whatever coach he find himself as long as he was getting playing time, we would still see the beast mood. Just like saying Guardiola or former Liverpool coach should be given credit for Debryne or Salah after their no show at Chelsea.

It has nothing to do with the CAF president but the same reason why a Gasperini will say shit about Ademola!
It has o. The external dey. The leadership of Caf too get their own. Always playing 2nd fiddle to these guys. Under his tenure, the way scheduling has been is not good. Especially the female football.

You're right about Gasperini too. No mind them

There's no tournament that has the kind of attention Euros has in the world of continental football. It doesn't mean other continental tournaments are not more competitive and entertaining than it. The crux is if AFCON is a major tourney and that is why that Carragher is getting dragged. He was corrected twice and he scoffed twice. Nowhere in his head does he want to take it as major. That's the height of dumbassery. And his bosses have a different pov and that's why they didn't upload it to their sites as well.

AFCON is more competitive and entertaining than Euros. The last one is enough as evidence.

Jamie Carragher is too wrong and that's a stubborn corner to stick too despite the correction. I trust Thierry.. if he was in that room, he go bend.

He’d be their greatest idol of all time if they can win the Scudetto before he leaves the club in the summer
They’d have to change their stadium name to Stadio de Lookman if that happens
Win 11 games & win the title, it’s still very much within reach
Lol.. you wish
Even if Atalanta somehow win the league, they will eulogize Retegui, not Lookman
No be today..

The simple fact is AFCON is a major tournament and Carragher is foolishly wrong.

Napoli still have to play inter
Inter will definitely nick that one
I think Atalanta still have the toughest fixtures left though
All they have to do is take every incoming game as a final, win 11 of the 12 games remaining & the Scudetto is theirs
You’re right. Atalanta still have Juve, Lazio, Roma, Inter, Fiorentina and Milan to play.

But if they approach all those matches as cup finals, they can win. They’ve already had a run of games where they won 11 games straight. They have to replicate that form now.

I think Napoli vs Inter will be a draw. Inter still have the Coppa Italia and UCL to play in so their squad depth will be seriously tested.

You're right..
Gasperini definitely improved Lookman
He gave Lookman a chance when no one wanted him, terming him a flop after a torrid time at Fulham..
So yes, we give Gasperini that one
He did improve Lookman

My brother, I think you are conflating big/prestigious with major.

Big is subjective. Major is objective.

The FA cup and the UCL are both major trophies. UCL is seen as a “big” trophy to the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Barca, Juve, etc. But they may not regard their respective FA cups as a “big” trophy even though it is a major trophy.

The AFCON is CAF’s premier men’s tournament so it is indeed a major trophy in the same way the Euros and Copa America are.

However, many in Europe and S. America don’t view it as a “big” trophy.

We in Africa view the AFCON has a major AND big trophy. Ask Egyptians who dem go praise pass? Salah or Aboutrika?

What Jamie said was categorically wrong. No two ways about it.

If we want to argue about the level of competition between AFCON and Euros, then that is entirely a different argument. But we Africans should stand firm in the truth, this is not about black man sensibilities.
