This post is for Nigerians who are not tech savvy to understand the million dollar fraud ongoing in the used smartphone industry. If you as a Nigerian desire to buy a second hand smartphone either online through Jiji or through a physical shop,if the phone is branded as used, you are likely buying a fake and refurbished phone manufactured in unknown Chinese factory There is a mobile phone producing factory in China where knocked down version of various brand such Samsung,Oppo, oneplus are produced without authority from the known brand. These knock down or clone phones are sold for a fraction of the price of the genuine products, they are bought in large quantities and shipped to third world countries especially NIGERIA,India, Indonesia. In India they are sold cheap, where as in Nigeria they are sold within the Value of genuine products. 90% of used phones from computer village,Ikeja,Alaba international, lawanson used phones, and various others are fake. The first clue to catch them is the overbloated internal storage space, imagine a phone a genuine manufacturer made with 32gb,64gb,it will be rebuilt with 128gb,256gb fake ROM,a simple app known as CPU Z and Devcheck will expose the fraud. Another clue is the fake chipset,a Redmi with an original snapdragon 680 would be swapped for a less efficient g35 right from the unknown factory. To be on a safe side ,a verification of the 15 digits IMEI NUMBER should be done on IMEI.INFO ,the real specs will be shown. *#06# would provide the imei. The best bet is to buy brand new phones from known stores across country such as SLOT,3C HUB,TECNO STORES.IT is better to buy original for high price than to buy fake for cheap price or high price. Investigation revealed that majority of such fake devices pack up within few weeks of acquisition, which Is grossly unfortunate, despite the victim paying the real market price for the fake device |

As you can see ,these device is the fake Oppo a73 5g ,the internal ram is given as 256gb,whereas from the Oppo support site, this device was manufactured with 128gb as the max storage. A simple visit to gsmarena will confirm 128gb.devcheck app will reveal 128gb,this device wasn't produced by Oppo but rather an unknown mobile factory in China The 15 digit imei number will fail verification

Thank God I have contacts living abroad. If I have the money, I send them and include the cost of running around. My device piggybacks on the next relative visiting the country. About a month or two in total to purchase the latest device of my choosing. Thank heavens for a good job which I use to pool the needed funds. |

This is a dealer in ikeja, all the phonee in his catalogue are all fakes, the are not from Oppo or Samsung, but an unknown mobile factory in China, the fake storage space easily gave them away ,they buy it very cheap like say 60 dollars, where as the genuine products go for over 200 dollars, the sellers will sell at the rate of genuine products.

That why I respect apple iPhone for making all their products unique and very hard to clone, the highest those fake Chinese phone factories can do is to use android to clone iOS. |

This is what Nigerians deserve. Don't be deceived, ask them how much they truly paid for the item. If an item is not a "steal", Nigerians will never buy. If you can't deceive Nigerians, you will suffer greatly. |
