The D2 is a heavy duty Anyone here who has it has got a gem on his / her hand I decided to do something weird today because I had accidentally done it before and I was marveled! My iron ( 2400 watts ) was left in power accidently when I switched to D2. Lo and behold e no shake one bit ! Today I used it to iron my clothes conveniently without any issues atall. My gen go beg me o because that's like the only thing that would have made me be remembering the gen small small and now D2 don handle am wella ! Monitored it on the screen and I saw about 1800 watts recorded |

twosquare:Jinko 555w panel? I’m getting really shitty input here because of the rain. No sun at all today
|
| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by twosquare(m): 3:46pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
iamlammy:Yes. Jinko 555. Sure, the dark rain clouds will not let you get much input. Things will normalise soon, |

iamlammy:Same here The weather has been cozy all day Managed to get the D2 up to 80% from zero since about 9am till now 4.40pm |
| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by Emoreni(m): 5:04pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
twosquare:So is still advisable to get jinko 555W panel for D2? |
| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by twosquare(m): 5:37pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
Emoreni:If that is what you want, but you can go above that for the sake of less-efficient days. Just ensure that the panel is not above the recommended amps and voltage for the d2. |

oladele239:Please what's the role of the mc4 to xt60 connector and how do you install it? |

| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by Babatundehy: 9:12pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
Emoreni:The mc4 to xt60 is the cable with which you charge your Ecoflow portable power station through DC (solar panels), xt60 plugs into the back of your Ecoflow power station and the mc4 part connects to the solar panel(s). |

oladele239:There'll be many more days like this, when the rainy season really hits, there will be days or even a whole week when the sun can barely be felt on one's skin, then a day's sun will not fully charge the device. You barely took advantage of the day's sunshine if you would have used the Delta 2 but didn't use because you wanted it fully charged and the sun wasn't really bright, you could have charged your delta 2 to maybe 45/50 percentage and then run your loads ( assuming load is somewhat close to the solar input you were getting, say 150/200), you could have had your refrigerator running, devices charged and fans working, you then shut the AC of the Delta 2 off by maybe 4pm or just before the sun goes down (you'll know when), so it charges faster until sunset and you have some battery juice for nighttime. My point, leaving to charge fully until the power station is loaded isn't the best way to maximise the solar energy, you can use for more hours by charging halfway or close and then loading it up. |

Babatundehy:There was grid power all through this time of charging via rays so there was no need. I need longer backup during the night |
| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by oladele239(m): 9:42pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
Emoreni:That's what connects your power station to the solar panel for the purpose of charging. You can read up posts from this particular thread. |

One thing I also noticed is that this morning, it picked watts (20) at 7:38 am, unlike before when it was like 8:05 before watts could register. The rain really did wonders in the atmosphere. |

oladele239:I watched your video and tbh, the delta 2 extra battery although more expensive seems better. The lithium battery (e.g Powmr) will not get you up to 200w input charging and seems less convenient to use. Or am i missing something? |

Just for clarity: Team DIY solar The list for the setup from what I gathered from here includes 1. Delta 2 or higher grade 2. Jinko solar 555W or higher 3. Mc4 to xt60 connector (what thickness is recommended?) 4. Surge protector/ controller ( in case of lightening) Are these all that is needed for the solar setup? And how to mount the solar panel is my worry cos it's a rented apartment, I live upstairs, and also in the event of heavy wind hope it won't get blown off. Please suggestions and corrections will be appreciated. Cc babatundehy oladele239 Hydronium Iamlammy twosquare |

Emoreni:Others will respond to where I didn't give enough clarity. 3. 12 AWG below...If you can get 10 AWG, it is good enough. The thicker, the better. As for mounting the solar, it must be bolted since you live upstairs. You have to get a professional installer. Height is not easy. Even me who did my own bungalow sef knows that height is not fun. |

| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by oladele239(m): 7:53pm On Feb 24, 2025 |
Emoreni:Good one bro that you're making a move to be free from national grid wahala lol You have a great list up there I must say , for the power station that you intend to get you must first try to ascertain your power needs. That will determine if you should go for D2 or higher one. For the awg , you 10awg or 12awg. The lower the number of awg the better. To install the solar panel , it's better you call on a technician to help you. That was what I did. They will help you better secure it up there and they also know better angles to put it. You can DIY if it's convenient. |
