You can't blame El-Rufai for feeling betrayed. Tinubu had publicly acknowledged that El-Rufai wanted to take a break from governance, but Tinubu persuaded him to stay on, citing the need for his expertise in his potential government. However, Tinubu ultimately, covertly, snubbed El-Rufai, leaving him feeling deceived. What could be a greater act of treachery than that?

Kindly pity yourself and consider your life post- PBAT Administration.

You amongst other people like Reno Omokori have fanned the most ethnic divisionist colored govt in Nigerian history.

El-rufai has more gravitas amongst the core Northern Muslim and he is not pretentious and hypocritical to wait till 2027 to jump ship.

Bayo Onanuga will be 70 years next year and should make more matured and dignifying statements for his age.

Prof. Udenta Udenta said in an interview on National TV and I quote " once you have dissenting views on PBAT Administration, his media handlers pounce on you from all angles like a pack of Wolves".

2027 will be one of the most interesting year in Nigerian electoral history after the General elections of 2015.

He does not carry the weight you think he does. It’s like saying Okupe, Osinbajo, Obasanjo or Adebanjo carry weight in the SW. Go and check the last results they all lost their polling units and none was able to deliver their states talk less regions.

Being vocal and noisy is not the same as having a political structure. Political base and structure delivers votes. MC Oluomo will deliver more votes in the SW than any of those 4. ElRufai cannot win an election in Kaduna today, he could not deliver his party for APC in 2023. Even Obi got almost the same number of votes that ElRufai as a sitting governor was able to deliver for his party. So what exactly are we talking about?

El Rufai is a technocrat, he thinks like a technocrat, he is not a true politician he hasn’t got a political base! His public exposure and his victories in the only elections he has contested was on the back of existing Godfathers (Obasanjo, Atiku, Buhari) or party structures like APC. ElRufai does not port to any political party with a flowership or votes because he is not a real politician. When a real Nigerian politician moves, he moves with followers and votes. When Tinubu went to Buhari and said we will support you, the votes of the entire SW switched from GEJ to Buhari. Yayi controls Ogun west, he is why Amosun’s candied ate lost and why Abiodun won in 2019 and 2023. These are politician with a base and a structure! These are politicians that determine the outcomes of elections.

Politics is not about granting interviews and making noise. Your relevance in politics is about your ability to deliver votes. Peter Obi is far more relevant and influential politically than ElRufai…..far more! The true power brokers of Lagos politics 99% of Nigerians have never heard of them. These are the men that when they told Tinubu we don’t want Ambode anymore, Tinubu complied. That is true political power, people who can deliver or withdraw votes with one meeting. Not by making noise up and down.

It is because ElRufai knows he doesn’t have that power that he is panicking and running his mouth up and down. If you truly had the power what would you do? You would keep quiet and put in motion the machinery for the defeat of your opponent….no be so? If you had the power to make a few phone calls and cause the voters to switch votes, why would you bother to appear on TV to an audience that are irrelevant? Do the typical northern voters watch Arise TV? So clearly his interview on Arise was not aimed at Northern voters…..so what was the point? It was a cry for help! Listen carefully to what he said I won’t join PDP, I may not suppprt for Tinubu but I may if he does ok by 2027, the party has moved away from me (as in I am not the one who abandoned the party o)….. Nuru and Uba Sani are after me (as in reign them in) A blatant cry for help

How people's father will be so confident defending a failure of a president should be a psychiatric case study. So ministerial slot is now better than a governorship position he enjoyed for 8 years and couldn't find a solution to insecurity in Kaduna. He was literally drained as it was under his leadership that the Abuja Kaduna train attack happened. Nobody fancies appointments after fighting hard to justify the one he had and still couldn't. Tinubu is a failure, Kidnapping has taking over other crimes, the economy is in coma, what is there to praise Tinubu for?

Prior to the 2023 elections, when Tinubu went to Kaduna to seek their support for his presidential ambition, I remember Tinubu saying at the event that he wouldn't leave the stage until El-Rufai agrees to support his ambition. El-Rufai agreed. El-Rufai worked for his victory.

After Tinubu became president (when power don reach him hand), when it was his turn to reciprocate the good gesture to El-Rufai, Tinubu deceived and humiliated him.

How could a president nominate someone (a former governor) for a ministerial position, and Senate or NSA wouldn't approve, without the know of the president?

In summary, Tinubu used El-Rufai to get to power, and dumped him after he had gotten it. Yet, ronus expect El-Rufai to be singing praises of a back-stabber.

Trust yoe-row-bar at your peril!

Don't just follow the bandwagon. Which of the Elrufai's was denied US visa? Elrufai was in Washington DC less than 5 months ago on the invitation of the Council on Foreign Relations to give a lecture on leadership and governance. He was already out of power then, so don't even say it was diplomatic immunity.
