It's true that some online stories are just false....and this, here, may just be a marketing strategy...but despite this, if this really happened, I see nothing wrong with it.

I can't cast blames on the lady. She has done no wrong...even if she had decided to leave the marriage, she would still be in her right. Maybe the only wrong she did was to wait for this kind of scenario before diving into person growth and development.

This thing called "full-time housewife" should not be in existence today. There's absolutely no sense in it. "Sustaining the family and training/caring for the kids" are not valid reasons for a female to decide to be a full-time housewife. In fact, no husband should encourage his wife to do this. I remember when I and wifie started. I ensured we both enrolled for MSc together...and she even finished before me. When I went back to study medicine as a third degree, I told her to map out a career-advancement path for her as I would want her to take one or two steps further after my medical training. Today, there are considerations of furthering to a PhD in public health or nursing. And she'll be fully supported.

It's wicked for a man to continue to grow while his wife remains as she was met. Evil. This doesn't define a good wife. I mean, how can there be a life without ambition? If I be woman, I no go ever gree to this thing. In fact, if a husband persistently refuses to allow his wife grow, I will not blame such a wife if she leaves the marriage.

It's women that are not empowered or independent that'll continue to depend on their husbands' permissions before consenting to a medical care like CS. I've seen instances where a woman needed URGENT operation to save her life but would not give consent until her husband permits. It's women that are not empowered that'll continue to take rubbish from their husbands (serial cheating, domestic violence, manipulations, etc)... because they know they can't survive alone. Because my wife is empowered, she was able to support me significantly in the 7 years I trained in medical school. I wasn't doing any full-time job, I was only freelancing. Every month, my wife would send me money...may not be enough to fund all my needs, but was HELPFUL.

Please, women, EMPOWER YOURSELVES. Grow as your husband grows...you can even grow higher sef, no law limiting you. Go to school, do postgraduate training, learn a skill, establish a business. EVERYONE in the home MUST GROW together...the wife, the husband, the kids.

This is my 11th year in marriage. While I have 3 degrees, my wife has 2 currently. My wife is also making great progress in career. Our 4 children are growing and they are doing fine. As I continue to grow, my wife would too.

Women, don't be deceived by the so-called African tradition...or by some people's interpretation of the Bible. I beg, grow yourself and be independent. Don't depend on any man, he may disappoint you.
