Wow! I was at the agricultural center last week , I saw the white guys and some Nigerians offloading the tractors! They really tried, we just pray it yield positive results! I also saw over 2000grain processing mechine rusting away at the place , the authorities should really do something about it! Everything shouldn't be politics the interest of the nation should always be prioritized

Hmmm ....embarrassed by Traoré?.... because this is what Traoré has done for Burkina Faso. The difference is he had a game plan so when the tractors arrived they went straight into production. If the farmers cannot plant their small farms in peace be ause of the insecurity ... why would large scale farms be successful? These tractors are going into the hands of the connected. They have arrived ... now what?

They will definitely distribute it across all boards but apparently, the North needs it more so they should distribute more to the North

The greatest threat to agriculture and profitable farming is insecurity. The bandits/fulani herdsmen/boko boys/kidnappers have constituted a huge menace to the farms across the country. Arm the farmers.

Arm the farmers and see the issue resolve itself.

Belarus is one of the former Soviet Union republics. The leasing option is the best in order to lower the entry bar and with 2000 tractors that's a huge figure based off of the first batch... An average of 333 for each of the 6 regional blocs in Nigeria if they choose that format for distribution. I wonder if these are brand new (or refurbished tractors that are still in working condition)?

I've seen videos in the recent past of up to 3 Nigerians with two being from the West of Nigeria and one in Jos who manufacture portable tractors, so, the Nigerian goverments at all levels MUST see how to key them into the agribusiness revolution (i.e., if they are certified OK with proper aftersales services in place).

Last but not least, remember all-round security is essential against the vicious and incidious foreign herdmen and bandits within some of those agro ecosystems. A man was able to save himself and members of staff from one of such attacks about 3 years ago by armed criminals with the aid of his drone which was hovering over the large farmhouse in one of the North-Central states (Kwara State to be precise).

There is a company called bob tractors in PH producing tractors, but trust Nigeria to like everything foreign.

That's impressive.

I just checked the company out online and they are into manufacturing and assembling. They are already collaborating with some state governments such as Nassarawa which is a good step.
