At the end of the day, what happened in the Petroleum sector will happen in Telcom. Fuel queues did not disappear because Nigerians now have access to Petroleum products. It disappeared because most Nigerians simply can't afford it anymore, and that is EXACTLY what will happen with Airtime and data.

Fewer people, especially young people ( who use the Internet more than any other age group in Nigeria) will not be able to afford the hike and they will have to cut their budget to adjust.

Maybe that's what they wanted all along. After all, we know the role that the Internet plays in organizing young people to fight for their rights.
