I have asked quite a number of people this question, and most of them said no, and I wonder why, because Egusi soup looks like it'll go well with white rice.

Like this like this, na waytin I just dey eat so, no be say stew nor dey, but this Egusi soup too sweet, it make go down with rice also.

Once sapa hit me one kind en,white rice when eaten with egusi soup then seems to be sweeter than when eaten with stew . I don't just know why

First of all, nigerians need to know dat there are similarities between soup and stew. The idea of of only eba that can be eat with soup, is false.
Soups and stew are liquid elements which can be serve with other solids. I can't even differentiate between banga soup and stew sef. Because the comparison is not needed.

The original word is Egun + si = Egunsi (shaped like thorn)

Now hear me out

Some people mention different names of soups as being the best.

White soup, black soup, fisherman soup, seafood okro, oha, ofe ede, vegetable, ogbono and the rest.

But in reality there are only two soups in this whole wide world; Egusi and others.

Like how can one soup be so versatile, sweet and still regal?

Infact, when I make Egusi, I actually cook it with the intention of eating rice with it.

It can be eaten with white rice and nothing so special or bad about it . same way you met people eating white rice and stew if they've passed down eating white rice and egusi soup you will see it as normal thing
