His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will today commission the rehabilitated Mile 1 Fire Service Station of the Rivers State Fire Service.

The agency, which had been moribund for over a decade, was revamped by the Fubara administration to curb fire disasters and other emergencies.

This is one of three fire service stations rehabilitated by the Sim Fubara-led administration.

The Mile 1 Fire Service Station, which had been dormant for over a decade, has undergone extensive repairs and refurbishment under the current administration. The Fire Service agencies are the most useless and docile government institution in this country, both at the state and federal levels.

They must ensure the the fire has finished burning properties before showing up. And when that is done, they tell the press that they've successfully put out the fire
