What I saw in the North while I stayed there because of the useless NYSC was really crazy.

A son killed his mother recently in Delta state and cut off her head, in Edo a young girl was raped and murdered right inside a church premises, in Abia another young man killed his mother and plucked out her eyes for rituals, young girls are forced into baby factories in the east... that is the 100% regards you southerners have for your women i guess.

I once lived in a compound with the landlord's family. My landlord has a son of about 19 y/o. He smokes weed openly and declared himself the bad guy of the family. He will enter the house and eat whatever he finds. He yell at anybody and dress roughly.

There was a day I returned from a journey of two days. I didn't see him. When I asked, they told me that he was locked in a cell for two days. My findings were that he rough-handled his mum. I was angry. Very angry. I liked the guy as well as his mum.
The next day, when I saw him, I called him to my room, gave him a cardigan and a loaf of brown bread.

I told him that I was his age, and I was a deep man. I told him that whatever people like us do, we protect our family. We cause people to fear our family and that's how much we equally protect our territory.
He understood the message. Since then, he never for once rebel against his family, at least not until I exited the compound.
Some people will never know what family stands for.

Curse on whosoever that have the heart to take the life of the woman who went through pains to bring him into this world and care for him till he's old enough to know his right from his left.

I lost my lovely mom in 2022 till date it hurts knowing that I'm never gonna see her face again.. I miss her beautiful smiles, I miss her voice, I miss her food, I miss her powerful words of advice, all I'd ever say is thanks for taking care of me from the day of my birth to my schooling days to her very last moment. My mom sacrificed everything to make sure that I'm fine. God bless her soul
