The price should drop. Nigeria government should not follow international rate for local prices. Nigeria government should work with Dangote and give concession, and coordinate NNPCL to open stations everywhere. NNPCL, and Dangote can bring prices down. Since we have the crude and refinery, the price must come down. The president should understand that keeping more disposal income in the hands of Nigerians by reducing fuel prices, is the way to national prosperity. |

They were simply taking advantage of the crude oil crash. There is nothing special about the war in prices. |

I heard that NNPC has reduced their fuel prices following Dangote's price cut. But even if NNPC drops their price to N200, people will still prefer Dangote. So, NNPC can actually sell fuel at N650 but had to wait until dangote reduces its price first. Bunch of wicked souls. |

Stop spreading your illiteracy here abeg...Would things continue to remain the same forever ? Didn't the global crude oil price increase too? Even you , are you the way you were 8 years ago, didn't you grow? The prayer should be ; May we be able to afford any economic changes no matter how inconvenient it is. See , even European countries , dem dey cry , to meet up ,you have to work your ass out. Nobody place is heaven , may God help us StrongAlphMale: |

| Re: Expect More Fuel Price Drop Amid NNPC, Dangote War – PETROAN, IPMAN To Nigerians by eminemkayc: 8:41pm On Mar 04, 2025 |
This is pure deceit by the downstream players. The price of refined products refined by Aliko or imported by NNPC is a function of the price of crude. As at today, crude oil brent is at its lowest, selling at $71.62 per barrel, the lowest since this year begun. This is the reason why the price has dropped. No one should be fooled by any ridiculous competition. As soon as OPEC restricts production and crude prices shoots up, we will pay way more for refined PMS. They should quit with the deceit please. |

Is this really a price war between Dangote & NNPC, or both companies are just adjusting their pricing based on the drop in price of crude oil. As of Jan 15th, Brent Crude price was $82. Today, Brent crude has dropped, now trading around $73. |

I hope both Messr NNPCL and Messr Dangote remember their obligation to their stakeholders, the only good thing about the price war is that importers go rundown. Las Las they go cease and desist. |

Good one but I don’t want to hear another story from NNPCL about subsidy (sorry differential payment). They claim that there is a N7trillion debt that FG is owing them from last year and FG has planned to settle it over 7 months amidst the plenty domestic and external debt FG is seeking to settle. Now we see that NNPCL always reduce their price as Dangote reduces his. The only problem I have is that NNPCL have not always been straight forward in their dealings so it wouldn’t surprise me if they come up with another “claim” having subsidized their product through the back door. |

courage89:its even dropping further down towards $63 as of today. some thing that was a whooping $120 when the dangote refinery was commissioned. we should expect more price splash as long as trump is pushing for more drills and pressing OPEC+ for further price crash. better days ahead |
