Which degree did you want to apply for?

Start by using google, get the list of universities in NZ and look at their requirement.

For wintec,

You need ielts 6.5, need to go through an agent. Use IDP but their process is very slow. Or use this guy balraj.sharma@wintec.ac.nz

Then you need to have your documents notorized at the court ( that one easy, I think it's 5 k per copy), then statement of purpose. No application fee

Either ways, IDP or the school rep will inform you the required documents.
Best of luck

Alright. Tanks

Does the school allow school Fees payment once u arrive in the country?
Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by blaze007(m): 9:06pm On Feb 04, 2025
Nope. All new Zealand schools are payment before service. So you have to pay all your tuition fees for 1 year if the course is more than 1 year and then show evidence for the remaining tuition fees.

If it's a 1 year program, you will pay complete tuition before you apply for visa self.

Don't forget you will show evidence of NZ 20k for upkeep and then NZ 3k for logistics in your account or sponsor.

Is it possible to have a lump sum a month or two prior to the 4months?
peze:
Here is a quick guide on my New Zealand Study Visa application process and the documents I submitted.

Firstly, as a self-sponsored student, I applied for Fee Paying Student Visa. Please visit INZ website to create a Realme Account: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/apply-student-online. The online application process can take 15-30 minutes if you have all documents ready.

Secondly, I gathered and arranged all documents to be uploaded. The below listed documents are what I uploaded/attached in the following order.

1.Passport style photograph
2.International Passport -Copy of identity pages
3.Offer of place from the Education Provider (Massey University)
4.Proof of Fund: Documents merged (You will need NZD $20,000 as the primary applicant)
-Receipt of Payment of Tuition (Paid via CBN Form A-it took 2 months)
-My Zenith Bank account statement showing evidence of tuition payment
-Access Bank Statement of 4 months (NGN 11million for both myself and my spouse)
-Valuated Landed Property with supporting documents
-Evidence to justify lump sum deposit within the 4 months interval.
5.Upfront Medical Report: Did General Medicals examination at IOM Ikeja. Pls visit INZ website for the list of panel physicians near you. (www.immigration.govt.nz/paneldoctors)
6. Police Certificate issued less than 6 months ago-(I got this from Police CID-Alagbon, Lagos)
7.Cover Letter or Statement of Purpose: Explained my study intentions, provided details of my source of my fund, home ties and other necessary information to prove I am a genuine applicant.
8.Relationship Certificate or Proof of Marriage: Merged Court Marriage Cert, Change of name newspaper publication, Wedding pictures with family and in-laws.
9.Educational Qualification: Merged WAEC result, B.Sc Cert and M.Sc Cert.
10.Academic Transcripts: Merged both B.Sc and M.Sc Transcripts.
11. Proof of Employment: Merged the following docs
-Employment Letter
-Promotion Letters
-Payslips
-Pension Statement of Account
-Work Reference Letter confirming my position and length of employment
-Tax Clearance Certificate.
-Resume/CV
12.Birth Certificate
13.Family Tie: Merged Group Family Photos and ID Cards of family members to prove relationship
14.Travel History: Entry and Exit stamp photos on my International Passport.
15.National Identity Document: Attached my NIN
16.Proof of English- IELTS or University letter indication English was the medium of instruction.
17.Additional Information Form: INZ1200

Thirdly, payment of visa application fee of NZD $430-(I used a dollar virtual card to make payment)

Lastly, pray earnestly and always check email for any update from INZ regarding your visa application (e.g request for additional information). In my case, besides the email confirming receipt of my visa application, the next email I received from INZ came with Visa Approved Document.

Try to check the immigration website.

‘If’ MSc can go with dependents I think graduate diploma should be able to.

Kindly make research on this

Good day everyone applying to, intending to apply to or thinking about applying to New Zealand.

I thought about posting my journey after successfully landing in Aotearoa New Zealand, but something told me that was a lack of faith right there! So I shall be sharing my journey to the land of the Kiwi's as it progressess.

I am not a betting man, but I can see Aotearoa New Zealand overtaking many of the popular destinations in the future, that's if you can manage paying the fees in full (not compulsory if you are taking the AIP route - you apply for the visa first and if successful, you then pay the school fees, in full), and taking a two day trip in economy (or business grin ) class.

Had I know about Aotearoa New Zealand, I wouldn't have wasted money on Canadian study application fees and I would have started preparations earlier, I would have jejely done my IELTS Academic since and kept, (IELTS Academic is compulsory for Aotearoa New Zealand schools - my school required a minimum of 6 across all bands, and a 6.5 overall score) - so yeah you're gonna do that IELTS Academic, its not hard, its just English. At the time of posting this, it costs 266,000.00 Naira for the exam.

For the school fees, I got a hefty bursary of 15,000 NZD (I would have gotten a scholarship but as I didn't take my books seriously I missed it), anyway I said thank you Lord for giving me a sign! So try and see if you can get a scholarship or a bursary, and for this I would recommend using an agent, I used IDP (I hope this is not an advert, I am just sharing the steps I took), they don't charge a dime, you just know what you want to study and that makes the work easier.

1 NZD = 879 Naira

To be continued... Next update: Police Character Certificate and IOM X-Rays but after the public holidays.
