Femi Falana, Ugichinyere and their cohorts were merely deceiving Governor Sim for their own selfish benefits. The right strategy for Sim would have been to lobby those Assembly members over to his side. I said this several times here and as far back as November 2023 that the strategy of fighting the Assembly men would backfire. Where are those over sabi people that were misinterpreting our constitution then?

You don't even have to be a justice of the supreme court or even a lawyer to know that the allegation of defection was watery. We said it here many times that there are no concrete proofs to their defection.
My Lord Justices also said Fubara had already collapsed the house of Assembly which is a fundamental point of the case that many layman did not see. These judges are very intelligent and highly skilled in their profession. I could recall that Rivers State House of Assembly ceased to exist the very day Gov Fubara set the building on fire. Therefore you can be said to have defected in a house that does not exist. Amazing judgement.

How did this matter get to the Supreme Court?

Liar liar supreme court. It's a big shame that the Judiciary has been bought by the presidency.
It's clear that a sworn affidavit is not a valid document. Shame on Nigeria judicial system.

When supreme Court affirm his victory as governor, supreme Court was not gone. Fubara is a baby politician not to have known that there is no where in the constitution that said decampees lose their sit. If it exist, why do politicians decamped on flimsy excuses. Those assembly members by word of mouth alone cannot be said to be APC members, they have not registered to have joined APC neither is their names in the APC register or collected APC membership cards
