I helped to off one some two months ago in my village, the technician came from Lago to install it and it caught fire two days after. Majority of these type of problem is under size or fake wire, poor insulation of wire joint. Ours has been on our roof for over five years now and no issues. I do routine check at least twice a year. |

This is serious. Well, i guess that other external factors or appliances in the house, lead to the fire. Not directly from the solar or panel. AdolfHitlerxXx: |

There should always be a space in-between in the panel and the roof approximately 6-7 inches apart or rather mount the panel on fence if landlord no gree you put for roof ![]() |

My brother, how 43volts wan take cause fire and then burn down house? Something that isn't even inflammable in the first place abi shey dem pour petrol for the solar panels ni? If anything would blow up, it should be charge controller, inverter or battery |

tunjijones:I have in my house in Lagos but will like to upgrade the one in the villa. Let's talk as soon as you are able. You may please send me a mail. My preference will be to buy more panels and probably get a bigger inverter (at the market cost) and then pay the installer |

The advantage you get from them installing it, besides the peace of mind, is that in case of any failure, your warranty claim is made easier. In my opinion, you really have nothing to fear; you have already chosen a reputable brand for your batteries and inverter. Ride on Chief. AdolfHitlerxXx: |

eepeepook:I've been going through comments here and have seen the set of people advocating against the panels then I remembered a certain senator last year or so has even advocated for the complete ban of solar panels and even generators in Nigeria with one of his arguments being that electricity will be forced to improve if people have no alternatives. There's a 70% possibility that this is a kite to gauge people perception and that they're coming for your panels pretty soon |

Thunderfayamods:If you were a landlord, would you make this comment? Think about it. The problem with most Nigerians is that they have tenants' mentality, so they hardly see things from the landlord's angle. |
