APC was funded in Febrary 2013, 2 yrs before the 2015 election and the Anti PDP were all collapsing into the APC basket. By that time they already settled on a Northern Presidential candidate

Today which is 2yrs to another election, The anti APC are scattering themselves around

Elections in Nigeria are prosecuted with money. Pdp gave fayose over 2bn in cash to prosecute the Ekiti election in 2013. Pdp is no longer in power and they have no access to federal cash. In the evolution of apc from ac to qcn to apc, it was lagos funds that were used to prosecute the elections in the SW that grew the parties footprint

From 2015 to 2023 for all intents amd purposes, it was port Harcourt money carrying pdp. And this was becof Wike's ambitions to be a shot caller in pdp and the 2023 nominee. Right now Fubara is facing actual political survival and has no time to focus on party activities.

So the question is - who will fund pdps federal ambitions? The only contender with the war chest is Atiku. And Atiku will not step down for anyone. It is simply not in his DNA and he is also too old to take the chance of waiting for 8 years.

So let us sit back and watch

As far as I can tell, most of the SS states did not do much from 2015 to 2023.wike was doing all the lifting. It is unfortunate he has a caustic personality. I am sure you remember how he was blackmailing pdp to hold summits in port Harcourt. To the point they were all meeting with him to kiss his ass.

How much is that 2.2 billion used for Ekiti today?

Also, by paying funds directly to LG chairmen, the fundraising abilities of governors has been seriously hampered

“In 2019, it was Wike who funded Aminu Tambuwal to contest against Atiku Abubakar. Without Wike’s support, Tambuwal would not have had a chance to contest. Wike funded his campaign then and fully committed himself to Tambuwal’s presidential ambition. Even after Tambuwal lost the primary, Wike was very unhappy about it.

“Now moving on to 2022, that same Tambuwal that Wike sponsored in 2019 now conspired with Atiku to sabotage Wike’s ambition to be elected as the presidential candidate of the PDP.
