There's this girl that I used to assist financially one or two times in the past, she reappeared around my neighborhood after some years of absence and went straight to the point of asking me for financial assistance; I assisted her with a "substantial amount"; so to speak, because one, she's kind of a friend of mine and most importantly, two; because she mysteriously lost her parents within a week ( her dad died and during the course of burial preparation in less than a week after he died,his wife slumped and died as well) . My assisting her happened several months after her parents' demise .In less than a week after assisting her she called me again and asked for financial assistance, I lied to her about how I couldn't assist her financially at that moment. In the evening of that same day she texted me and asked me if I could assist her financially ,I didn't reply. I stopped picking her calls until a day came when a strange number called me, it was her. We talked and I still lied to her as to why I couldn't assist her financially. A strange number called me again and I decided to ignore the call so as to find out who the caller was via the Truecaller app, it was a dude whose name I didn't recognize, I called back only to realize that it was her again, I feigned being in a meeting, that I'd call her back later. From that day up until today I usually have about 6
to 10 missed calls on a daily from the dudes number she uses to call me. I dislike blocking people for reasons unknown to me.
The big question here is who's that dude who lends her his phone on a daily basis to call me? I know for sure that he's not her relative in any way ; they're not of the same tribe judging from the dudes name , and I know for a fact that she doesn't have any aunt that married a person from the dude's tribe to make her have a cousin from the dude's tribe. Who's that dude for crying out loud ? Her mumu boyfriend ? Fear women.

As for my guy, when naija started getting tough for him, he sold his shop he owned in a complex, sold his suv, took the money to apply for visavisa for his family. This was ending of Obama period when US was issuing visa to anyone that applied as family ohh. The guy got the visa. Note also his rent had expired tay tay, but he decided to use the money to fund the japa planing they will leave the country.
Anyway all the money went in funding the visa at Abuja embassy all the way from Lagos.
Long and short the money remaining was for ticket. Na there my guy made mistake. Since money no reach madam convinced to allow her go first and that after working she will send money for him and the kids to come. Na so she japa. Fresh fine yellow woman. After some time I no longer saw the kids, on asking my guy said his wife came and flew with the kids say when she raises more money she will get him ticket to come. Omo, that was how the years started going. I don't know what he said happened ohh, but he said he got a call from the embassy that his visa was cancelled but I think it expired. Na so this guy stayed, no house, was patching with friends, staying in church etc, a guy that had money before. That was how health challenges started, diabetic complications, high blood pressure, swollen feet etc, no one to care for him. He will call me, I will send him money. The last one he called that he was sick, I sent, few days later he called I sent, he called shortly again that he was in the hostital and if I saw him I will not recognise him. I felt he was taking advantage of me and ignored his calls and WhatsApp messages, that was my big regret because I got a call he was dead!
His wife and kids did not show up(likely because of cost or no documents). Infact I heard she had filled for divorce long before his death as she had moved on with her life in the US along with his kids and that put a lot of stress on him.
Man J (1969-2003), continue to rest in peace.
In summary, japa separately works for some peoole, but it is advisable for the family to go at once or worst, you the man should go and then bring your family. Some will argue that family should stay in naija while the man hustles abroad.

if he died in 2003, then that was def not Obama period. Obama's tenure was from 2009-2017.

That said, as I have always held, my family stays together ALWAYS. Even staying in different states doesn't work for me, much less staying in a different country. There will always be cracks when you stay apart for an extended period of time. Even the ones wey some think worked out, check well and you'd find that secrets dey wey just never dey revealed/discovered yet.

Personally, I no wan cheat. And I know i can't stay too long without. And I know once I break my vow, I go dey do am dey go. 9 years married, no incident...and I want to keep it that way. I want to be totally present in my children's lives, their growth and upbringing, just like my parents were always present in mine. My mum could have left us in 2000 to go to the UK, but she couldn't go through with it cos she knew it would affect the family. Me and my family are and will remain inseparable. If we move, we move together. If we stay, we stay together. I get house for Ibadan, still I don move everybody come Lagos in December as work don bring me here. I no wan make my children dey see me only 12-24times a year. If I have a house to myself alone in Lagos, I go dey lash babes. So, I lock house, move everybody come here...I kuma go rent house either way. Problem solved
