I applied for Brazil student visa since January. I was asked to send my passport and documents after 2 weeks. My visa status has been under review for more than a month now. My master's programme started since 10th February and I have tried reaching out to the embassy through emails and calls but no response. I don't know why the delay, please what should I do? |

Hachiman:Do you use funding scholarship to apply or your personal bank account as proof of fund? |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by dvs511: 3:07pm On Mar 13, 2025 |
resilience001:When you send your document via courier to the embassy and prepay for return, the courier company gives you 2 tracking numbers. One for tracking the sending and the second for tracking the return delivery. So use the second tracking number to check the status of your package from the courier company website. |

Yosfaolu:I used both but I think one should suffice |

| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Letsmove: 8:50pm On Mar 13, 2025 |
Agozie29:There is a dedicated thread for students going to brazil. I think it would be more useful and suitable for you. |

Peterson11321:This depends on what your purpose is in Brazil and what you want. For example, I live in Sao Paulo and we live in a middle income neighbourhood, unfortunately you won't find a lot of nigerians here. |

Ayukjums:I sent you a message, and we can talk then. We live in Sao Paulo and have helped other couples before. |

Guys, please help. I’m trying to apply for language school in Brazil for 1 year. I’m applying from South Africa. What’s the chances of getting my visa approved? |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by TadeDetule: 3:53pm On Mar 17, 2025 |
ololo12:hello please. I am not sure what your chances could be like but you know there are language centres in Nigeria and I think in other countries too. Why not try a postgrad? |

Yes. You need to enter Brazil with all the necessary documents for this to be possible. Example: your Police Clearance Certificate and Birth Certificate are already authenticated. A lawyer (or other qualified personnel) would fill the online form, guide on the other documents and book the appointment with Policia Federal for you to submit the application. I don’t think the Brazilian Embassy in Nigeria processes the Digital Nomad Visa. RealWealth22: |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by RealWealth22: 9:36pm On Mar 19, 2025 |
niyyie:Where will i authenticate this? i am currently not around. And is it possible to convert digital normad to work visa maybe later in future. So i can't fill the form myself i need the help of a lawyer? Can you list all documents that i need to have with me? |

Does anyone know about Portuguese language courses in Brazil? Can you attend with a dependent, and is it worthwhile to enroll? Also, what’s the pathway to permanent residency? |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Dara101: 2:45pm On Mar 20, 2025 |
Yosfaolu:Congratulations. How long does it take your application status to change from the sent status to approval status? I sent my documents (study visa) to the embassy since Feb 16 and my status is still on sent. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Yosfaolu: 5:33pm On Mar 20, 2025 |

| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by untamedd(f): 3:55pm On Mar 21, 2025 |
oloyemeji:There are Portuguese language courses that help you get study visa but the possibility of getting a study visa with one is very low. You can come on a tourist visa and switch to a study permit with a Portuguese language course but it's usually for a maximum of 1 year. The best option would be to a do postgraduate program that will allow you stay for a longer period. They are free also. Other pathways include childbirth, stable Union, marriage. |
